Regional museums have so much to offer lovers of vintage. There is always something to admire and inspire. Share the love for small, regional or volunteer run museums you visit these holidays

Waiuku Museum has some fascinating objects, like the violin by Panormo with a story relating to a royal affair! Take the time to speak with the people who volunteer or work at these museums, they know great stories about the objects on display!

Side note: The Waiuku Museum also has a wonderful taonga Maori display that is well worth seeing, but I prefer not to take photos of these objects for my own personal use.

A very special vase by Crown Lynn, it has the 'Hand Crafted by Crown Lynn New Zealand' stamp on the bottom, attributable to the talented potter Daniel Steenstra c1960s. After the privilege of owning this for over 10 years, even bringing it all the way home from Adelaide, we are finally ready for our vase to find a new home.
