🧐👀Benefits of Remedial Massage in COLD SEASONS🧐👀
❤️Improve skin hydration
Massage therapy is proven to improve skin hydration, stabilizing the collagen in your skin and helping to maintain your skin’s elasticity.
❤️Increased Circulation
Cold weather can bring on many discomforts, aches, pains and arthritis but massage therapy can help by increasing circulation to muscles, joints, and organs. Improved circulation increases body warmth, provides healthier blood pressure levels, and increases the flow of oxygen throughout the body.
❤️Banish the Winter Blues
After receiving bodywork such as massage therapy, cortisol levels are decreased (the nasty hormone responsible for stress!), and oxytocin levels are raised (the happy, contentment hormone). Massage also releases serotonin and endorphins, relieving stress and making you feel better. Regular massages enhances overall state of well-being – banishing those winter blues.

👀🧐How are muscles affected by cold weather? 👀🧐
As the weather gets colder we often notice that our body can feel more stiff and achy. The cold causes stress for our body because when our body perceives stress, the body’s nervous system switches from the relaxed to the emergency response. Our nervous systems respond to cold by narrowing the blood vessels in our extremities, this reduces the blood in these areas so that more blood can be directed to our vital organs to keep them warm.
The reduction in blood in the muscles, ligaments and tendons means they will be unable to work as effectively resulting in slower and stiffer movements, and potentially more susceptible to strains. When muscles are unable to work effectively they can put strain on joints which can also cause pain.
The stress response also makes us to hunch slightly to protect and keep our vital organs warm. This unfortunately exposes our spine more to the cold. The muscles which move the spine will also experience constricted blood vessels, like the limbs, and therefore pain in this area can often be felt when it's cold.
-Massage can help by relaxing tense muscles and stimulating circulation.
-Massage with gentle mobilisation around joints can also help improve joint flexibility.
-Massage of muscles around the shoulder joint can also help with shoulder stiffness and rounding caused by the cold.

🧐👀How to get the most from your deep-tissue massage? 🧐👀
❤️Hydrate!
Our regular guests knows well what we keep telling them before
& after the massage - "Drink some water!" Yes! and we say this for a reason - hydration keeps muscle tissue healthy and easier to massage; it also helps your body to take in this treatment because the massage is like any form of exercise, your muscle is somewhat dehydrated after the treatment.
❤️Don’t workout or take shower too soon after your deep tissue massage.
Rest at least: 1. 12 hours if you want to do workouts; 2. 2-3 hours if you want to take a shower. After a deep-tissue massage, your muscles are actually burning extra calories. Doing exercise right after the massage should cause over exercising.
❤️Optimize the benefits of massage by including additional recovery tools during your massage.
Use the infrared light sauna or other tools to maximize your recovery.
❤️Schedule a 60 -90 minute massage every 2 weeks to help your muscles stay loose so you can stay pain-free.
Keep this as your recovery routine. Don't wait to book a massage only when you feel the pains - that is perhaps too late and it might take you much longer to get your body to recover.
Dad deserves a good massage...👨👨🥺

👀🧐Can Remedial Massage stop the allergic reaction?👀🧐
A honest answer to this question is No, Remedial Massage - or any other massages - cannot stop allergies. But Remedial Massage can definitely relieve, modify and dissipate the symptoms.
Allergies are actually caused by many reasons and one of them is your weakened immunity. Also the stress is associated with allergies too. Many studies have shown that higher stress levels can impact allergy symptoms.
Massage therapies can reduce stress and increase your immunity by improving the circulation - micro or macro - in your body so that it can improve your tolerance of allergy symptoms by massaging the trigger points which can help relax the tension and reduce the body's panic reaction to allergic reactions, such allergic as pains.
By undergoing regular Massage Therapy, especially during peak allergy season, you can decrease stress levels and improve your circulation and immune system.
🧐👀Benefits of Massage for MUMS🧐👀
1. During massage, your sympathetic nervous system (aka: rest and digest) is stimulated, which aides in digestion.
2. Massage can lower blood pressure by lowering your overall heart rate.
3. Massage can boost your immune system, stimulating your killer cells (white blood cells) to attack and fight off foreign pathogens.
4. Massage, even self-massage, can activate the adrenal glands to suppress the release of stress hormones such as cortisol.
5. Again, with the stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system, the brain secretes more happy hormones such as serotonin.
6. With the applied pressure of massage, there is a temporary blocking of pain signals to your brain, allowing for relief from aches and pain.

🧐👀Live Harmoniously With Each Season - Health tips in Autumn🧐👀
The best way to stay healthy according to TCM is to live harmoniously with each season. If we are to be in harmony with the spirit of autumn we should be slowing down, getting to bed earlier, covering up, eating warmer foods, and moving inward.
❤️Autumn Associations in Chinese Medicine:
Element - Metal
Yin Organ - Lungs
Yang Organ - Large Intestine
Stage of Development - Harvest
Emotions - sadness / grief
Every organ in TCM has a partner - the lung is yin, and the large intestine is yang. They work together to keep balance in the body.
When the lungs are out of balance there can be an inability to cope with loss or adapt to change. If your lung qi is weak, you may have a difficult time resolving grief. However, if the grieving process is fully expressed and resolved it can be a cathartic tool that
supports your body, mind and spirit. Please note that prolonged grief can lead to injury of the lung system, depression and other issues.
❤️Tips to keep the lungs and large intestine in tip top shape:
Slow down; nourish your yin
Exercise deep breathing
Let go of negativity in your life
Wear a scarf
Boost your immunity
Lightly steam your veggies
👀🧐Benefits of Remedial Massage in Cold Seasons👀🧐
Are hot drinks and extra layers of clothing enough for cold seasons? The answer is no.
We know that being healthy means from inside to outside, and wrapping yourself to a puffy cocoon does not mean you are protected from the brittleness in cold seasons. The most important part of self-reservation in cold seasons is to boost your immune system in order to remain the inner balance of the body.
The good news is that a Remedial Massage can be a great tool to help you through the winter season!
❤️Benefits of Remedial Massage in cold seasons:
1. Improving your circulation
2. Preventing sickness
3. Maintaining fitness
4. Preventing weight gain
5. Moisturizing your skin
6. Improving mental health

🧐👀Reduce Post-Holiday Blues With Massage🧐👀
Have you ever felt the anxiety, lethargy, stress and tiredness after holidays? Well, you are in holiday blues. The good news tho, is such blues can be easily managed by therapeutic massages.
After holidays, muscles that were inactive for a long time because of the enjoyable food and the lack of regular physical activity. This immobility of body causes holiday blues too.
By working through the muscle layers, the trigger points are dissolved, more oxygenated blood flows into the tissue and more fresh oxygen is created, which helps ease blood flow and give increased vigor to the body.
Many people admit to feeling active and fit after a massage, as if the massage did what regular exercise was supposed to do for their body.

👀🧐TCM Health-preserving tips for Autumn👀🧐
Why should we nourish liver in Autumn?
According to TCM “The 5 Elements In Life” theory, liver is the organ which has the nature of wood (5 elements: the metal, the wood, the water, the fire and the earth). Liver becomes the most vulnerable organ in Autumn, because other organs which carry the element of metal, such as lungs, are nourished by the seasonal Qi of Autumn, and the metal naturally restrains the wood, which means, lungs hurt liver.
The syndromes once the liver are hurt includes dry skin, anxiety, tiredness, margarine, depression, blockages in chest and breast, chronical pain in abdomen and forgetfulness. All are the signs to tell that our liver could be suffering the attack from lungs which become too vigorous in Autumn.
Ancient Chinese practitioners believe one meridian located in legs called “Zu Jue Yin”, accounts for the health and balance of liver. By consistently pressing and kneading this meridian, the energy flow can be delivered into and circles smoothly in liver.
To book a Remedial Massage to boost your liver energy, please call 0466770588.
