One last car joke on our penultimate day in business.

Thanks to all you followers who have either been customers, suppliers, friends or just interested. If you're in the area please drop in and say Hi-Bye.
We are busy clearing the workshop of a 30 year accumulation of tools, equipment, oils, parts, old car manuals, bits and pieces. Come in and make an offer.

We'll be having drinks and nibbles Friday from 4.30. Customers, suppliers and neighbours all welcome. We would love to say a final "thanks for the memories!"

We are cleaning out business premises as we are closing at the end of this week. I found 6 boxes of promotional pens in the bottom of a cupboard that were obviously (over) ordered by Ashley years ago! If anyone can use them for a school, club, bingo games or anything, PM me and I can tell you where to pick them up from.

To all our past, present and potential customers, I regretfully announce that Classic Performance Servicing and Dyno will be closing its doors permanently from 30th June 2024.

It has been a difficult decision & not one taken lightly, given our proud 16 year history & high standing in the industry. But situations change and now, the time is right.

I originally took over the business in 2018 to honour the memory of its founder, the Late Great Ashley Hobson, my husband. But it soon became “my business” and I have loved every minute of it.

I knew very little about managing a business when I started but thanks to some wonderful friends, colleagues, suppliers and business associations, I slowly got the hang of it & with their encouragement I gave it “A Red-Hot Crack” as they say!

I would like to sincerely thank my employees James & Matt for their unwavering support & friendship over the last 5 ½ years. They helped me take my place in a largely male-dominated industry and helped grow my knowledge of the internal combustion engine to a point where it almost sounded like I knew what I was talking about! And more recently, thanks to our apprentice, Max, who added his enthusiasm, energy & happy personality to the team.

Finally, thank YOU!!!, our amazing customers who trusted us with a wide range of fast, slow, old, new, unusual, prestige and everyday vehicles. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you all & your beautiful cars.

Thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey. I wish you, your families and your treasured rides good health and happy trails for the future.

They say that driver distraction is increasing and is a major contributor to the road toll. They say we need yet more technology in our cars to compensate for when the driver loses control.
NO WE DON'T!! We need LESS technology and put the responsibility for the operation of the vehicle squarely BACK in the hands of the driver!
