We had a lovely group in Thursday night celebrating a birthday for 22 people. Guests had margaritas on arrival, dips to share & choice of main. This is just a reminder that this could be YOU! Yep, we do group bookings & if you have a special celebration coming up or want to have Christmas/end of year catch up with family and/or friends think Mexican 🥳🎄🌵We have party menus or you can design your own; you can also decorate the table as well for your own personal touch! Okay we’ve been a bit silent on the social media side of things of late. Not my forte really but thought we should give you all an update on the status quo!! . We are still operating & we are open Tuesday to Saturday from 5.30 to 10ish. The property is still on the market but no real results so far … so it’s much the same ol’ same ol’ really. We want to thank you for your support & hope you will continue to do so. We still have 1/2 price nachos on Wednesday night & 1/2 price margarita on Thursday night & our tasty food all 5 days of the week!! So come on down as they say; hope to see you soon. After 36 years (&1 day) our very long time staff member has decided to call it a day! Last Saturday was her last night. Kim joined Zapata’s as a giddy teenager where she started off in the kitchen as a kitchen hand, then became head chef & ran the kitchen in her own true Kim style. Later, wanting a change, she moved to Front of House to wait tables & do the bar, which is where most of you know her from (after all not everyone goes into the kitchen) & again decided to run the place! During that time Kim had many big life events (her story to tell) but this one is a huge event … our chef turned super manager has decided to pack up & move overseas!! Yep, look out Tassie here she comes!!
In all seriousness though Kim (or Kimmie) you will be sorely missed by work colleagues & customers alike. Thanks for everything & we wish you & him all the best in the next phase of your lives … (look out for the devils & rug up!!!)

Of course there are still restrictions that apply but we are getting there! So Tuesday & Wednesday still the same - 1:4 sq metres density, no singing or dancing (but you can tap your toes under the table!!)
