PAE Youth is all about connecting young people with the latest programs, activities and events within the Port Adelaide Enfield community.
๐ฃDid you know that 409 primary school students and 56 high school students have participated in the City of PAE's Student Ideas Pitch?๐ฃ
The Student Idea Pitch is an opportunity for PAE primary and high school students to work with our Community Engagement team to put themselves in the position of a PAE Elected Member and pitch project ideas that they believe would improve the local community.
Young people are invited to share their ideas in three categories:
๐ณImprove our Environment
๐Make a Place or Space Better
๐จArt Project or New Event
These are then shared with our PAE Elected Members and relevant council staff to help inform current and future projects.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics recently revealed new data that 391,300 young people aged under 25 were unpaid carers in 2022, an increase from 235,300 in 2018.
Young carers, aged up to 25, provide unpaid care and support to family members dealing with disabilities, chronic illnesses, mental health issues, substance abuse, or old age. They balance schoolwork with caregiving, manage household tasks while offering emotional support, and navigate complex healthcare systems. Many young carers experience isolation, stress, and make significant sacrifices in their daily lives.
Shanelle Beazley, Tara Stevens, and Jessica Dallish from The Benevolent Society's Carer Gateway program will be joining us for this webinar to discuss how to identify young carers, share insights from case studies and personal experiences about the challenges young carers face, and provide information about the support services available through Carer Gateway.

Can't wait to see ya there, wearing your favourite sneakers ๐๐๐
Join us for a celebration of sneaker culture with our first ever Sneaky Things Sneaker Festival, at The Lights Community and Sports Centre on 21 July 2024 from 11am!
Where would we be without Michael Jordan and his Nike Air Jordans? What would have become of us without Marty McFlyโs Nike MAG? Name a more controversial art piece than Kanye Westโs YEEZYโs.
From kids to adults, we all have a vivid memory of the sneakers we needed and craved. The ones we saved up for. The ones we wore every day until they were falling apart. The ones we never took out of the box because they were art to be admired.
At the City of PAE we recognise that everyoneโs shoes tell a different story, and we want to tell that story. We want our community to have the opportunity to be part of the social history of sneakers and get involved in this cultural phenomenon.
