When we started dreaming up our fathers Day blend with we quickly settled on a coffee that gives big Barbie vibes, and so here we are.

New singles from are dropping!

First up we have a fabulous pair of naturals - a gorgeous Sun-dried from in Brazil - think balanced sweetness, Hazelnut tones with crisp raspberry and stone fruit acidity.

And the first of a couple of coffees from Timor Leste, this one from Aileu. This blew us away when we cupped a sample, and the landed product is just as exciting - red snakes, nectarine, rum and raisin chocolate.

Look out for more new coffees on the retail shelf and in your cup soon!

- FRESH CROP BRAZIL -

This delicious number has just landed courtesy of our friends and the farmers .

This Brazil is sun-dried natural, so in addition to the usual nuts 🌰 and chocolate 🍫 you can expect raised acid and a pop berries 🍓 and stone fruit 🍑

After battling with Facebook for years to try and change the name on this page, we've finally been successful in a deeply underwhelming way - I logged on one day, did all the same things and it finally worked 😅🍾

You know that scene in Titanic where the ship is sinking and the band keeps playing? That's what working in hospitality is like at the moment.

Everyone knows what's going on with the Corona Virus now. We're keeping calm and carrying on, and making Caffiend as safe as we can for you by making the following changes:

1) despite being contrary to our business ideals, we will not be accepting reusable cups until further notice.

2) we will be encouraging cashless transactions.

3) naturally we'll be maintaining our high standards of hygiene and redoubling our efforts to sanitise all tables between each visitor.

It's going to be a tough couple of months for the hospitality industry and South Australia in general - remember to get out there and support your local businesses as much as you can!

We have some pretty amazing local ceramicists in South Australia and we're all about supporting local business at Caffiend.

- IWD 2020 -

On International Women's Day we take a moment to appreciate all of the women that make a difference in our lives, and for Caffiend, that's our staff. So here's some words about each of the girls of Caffiend:

Georgia - our first staff member at the city store (she was helping Kat sand tables for a week before opening day), G is a patient, bubbly and friendly face behind the coffee machine. She's low key a super talented artist and has just started an Illustration and Design degree. Have a chat to her about how much homework she has 👌

Colina - our newest staff member, Colina is rock solid, unflappable and absolutely dedicated to coffee. She's worked in some of the best cafes in Australia and London and it's an honour to have her aboard. She loves dogs, so you should probably bring yours for her to cuddle 🐶

Chris - is Kat's Mum and sets the family tone by spending her time napping, drinking coffee and making delicious things. She's responsible for all of the delicious cakes available in store, and when she's not tripping on wet floors, can often be found smashing through loads of dishes on Saturdays.

Kat - pictured here with girlfriend Maddie. About six months ago Kostas informed Chris that she had, in fact, made a clerical error on his birth certificate and that he had been a she all along. Woops 💁‍♀️ She now goes by Kat and can be found drinking unhealthy amounts of sparkling water and throwing coffee beans at her staff from across the room. Kat's an open book, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask her.

We're highlighting the hard work of female producers this week with some delicious feature coffees from other amazing roasters. The first of these is this delicious Nicaraguan coffee, produced by Arlin Andino of Finca Esquipulas and roasted by our friends . The Fl**zy girls are smashing it and raising money for women in coffee charities with this coffee, so we had to get on board ❤️💯

Expect big flavours of Ferrero Rocher 🌰🍫 and black cherry 🍒 from this banger. Available in your coffee or on our retail shelf while stocks last 👌
