Stoney - Digital Illustrator
Digital Artist & Illustrator. Traditional art redefined through digital tech.
New blog post. An update on the chaos I have buried myself under. Why do I do this to myself? There are no answers waiting in this post.
Link in my bio to my blog, where you can read it. You would have already seen it if you were subscribed, though. Just saying.
For those that aren’t the kind to check instagram stories, I ended up making a newsletter / blog / somewhere to ramble with words. I’ve added the link to my bio so you can check it out! And then subscribe, and then you will get the updates straight to your emails, instead of having to make a sacrifice to the Algorithm Gods in hope that you will see your friends posts and not just 59 different ads for kitchen gadgets.
🥸 keep your eye on this space to see what I create for the Incognito Art Show.
3x artworks, sold anonymously, all proceeds donated to charities that focus on championing artists with disabilities.
I’ll be updating so you know when to go look at the submitted works; then it will be up to you to guess (and buy) the ones you think are mine before I Iet you in on the game 😉 will they be digital? Will they be inks? You don’t know and neither do I!
Peep these snippets of some mixed media concepts I am working on for uni this year. Very early stages of what I hope to be a larger body of work. Comment what you think they are about!
Obsessed with the possibilities of these fountain pen inks. Here are two lil paintings I did as concept tests. Can I create semi-realistic colours for still lifes? Can I paint with just two colours and still make it look like the thing? Yes and yes, although I do think I need one more colour (a red) to round out the palette.
It’s Trans Day of Visibility. Hello. Trans people exist, and are valid. The stories of our experiences make the world a more vibrant and wholesome place. Support your local trans people.

Experimenting with new art mediums to begin my third year of study and find my art style. Fountain pen ink and a watercolour brush pen came together for this lil streetscape. I’m chuffed, and so excited about these inks as a painting medium. I have more experiments in painting with ink to share, I just haven’t finished cutting the video together yet.
Big ol’ website update today, including a few fun new bits to the shop page.
Mystery bundles: buy one and get three random A5 plant prints from whatever I have on hand.
Phone cases: well known and well loved, phone cases are now on my website permanently for all your decorative phone case requirements.
Have a click around while you are there. I’ve rearranged some stuff and fixed some of the typos.
Help! I want to be part of the Great Southern Art and Craft trail this year, but I lack a physical location. The requirements include ‘somewhere with weekend hours’
Suggestions, offers, thoughts?
Image is a mixed media outcome I did for uni last study period.
I’m here, I’m q***r and I’m ready to sell you my art! Or give it away. Come say hi. 10-2 in the town square for the Albany Pride Fair Day.
I don’t remember ever sharing this one with y’all so here. There is a rare parasitic underground orchid (cool!!!) that grows in Western Australia that my brain decided to mash together with those fungi zombies from The Last Of Us to spawn this image. It’s available in my online shop. I can’t remember if I have physical prints of it because i haven’t looked. Come to my stall at the pride fair day on Saturday to find out!
Catch me at my (probable) only market appearance for 2024, the Albany Pride Fair Day! Saturday the 2nd of March, from 10am - 2pm; come say hi, buy some art, maybe pick up a freebie? 🤭 I'll be there with my usual array of art pieces.
You would have definitely by now seen the new Albany Roller Derby League Logo that I worked on, but if you haven't... here! Swipe through to see the journey it went on to reach it's final stage - it's quite the transformation that involved a few style plot twists that almost got the better of me (But it didn't!)
The guiding principle for this design was to refresh the logo in a way that better represented the league; both the people involved and the foundations of our community, the land that ARDL skates on and the values they uphold.
Storm clouds and rough waters represent the iconic Kinjarling / Albany weather phenomenon, known for its ever-changing conditions; every shade of brilliant teal pulled from the unique Kinjarling / Albany beachscapes. ARDL strives to remain as adaptable and dynamic as the ocean's waves, and the strength and power of nature can be seen in the competitive spirit of the two teams, the Great Southern Breakers and the Great Southern Riptides. The rising skyline of Koi Kyenunu-Ruff / Bluff Knoll brings strength and fortitude to the design, representing the resilience of the league in the face of any and all challenges thrown their way whilst acknowledging the expanse and diversity of both the Great Southern, and the roller derby community.
A classic pandemic art piece that reminds us all how precious basic resources (like toilet paper) are. This is another print on sale until the end of the month when it will be going away forever (just like how the toilet paper on the supermarket shelves did).
Plant number 4 in my ongoing plant series, the Alocasia! Not my plant this time but a friend with much nicer plants than I. Also on sale, also leaving the website at the end of October.
Plant number 3 in my plant illustration series, the fabulous plant! only available for a limited time (you have until the end of October) to get your hands on a print of this fabulous babe ❤️
Plant number 2 in my plant illustrations series: The dragon tail plant. This guy is in fact still alive and thriving in my plant room! Wild. This print is also being retired at the end of October so if you want one, get one. Treat yoself.
They are all on my website by the way. I believe in your ability to click your way over there.
#1: The OG, the beginning. the Prayer Plant print was the first print I created and the instigator that spawned my entire series of plant illustrations. The plant itself no longer exists (oops) but thankfully it lives on in this 2021 rendition of it’s leafy delight. But not for much longer: my older prints will be leaving my website forever at the end of October. so if you would like a copy of this classic, get on it. pronto.
