Due to increasing demand for our wet coating services LEED are seeking a Yardperson / Painter to joing our team.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a full-time Yardperson / Painter to join our team.
Duties include:
· Loading and unloading of trucks.
· Assist with sand blasting and surface preparation when required.
· Mix paint and thinners to required specifications.
· Spray paint steel to uniform thickness as per project requirements
· Provide paint usage information to track and forecast paint requirements.
· Ensure work area is kept clean and safe.

ABOUT YOU
· Able to work independently and use initiative.
· Work in accordance with safety procedures.
· Excellent understanding of OHS requirements around forklift and machinery operation.
· Willingness to do reasonable amount of overtime when required.
· Fork lift licence preferred.

This month we celebrate an incredible milestone, 30 years in business for our company.

From a business with only Boxhead and John Jorgenson (Old Bull) to a 90+ strong team. The evolution from Old Bull and Box Engineering to LEED, the introduction of new technologies and the expansions into new fields and facilities.

The company may have weathered many storms over the years, but Boxhead's sheer determination (or maybe Furst stubbornness) has stood strong and overcome every obstacle along the way.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Accounts Payable, Bank Entries/Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable, Timesheet Management, Payroll, and other miscellaneous Accounts duties
• General administration/office tasks
• Assisting with ad hoc tasks when required

YOUR SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND ABILITIES INCLUDE:

With all the crazy times we’ve had over the last few years Social Club do’s have been few and far between so it was great to get back out there last weekend with a team ten pin bowling session and share some laughs.

Our Airside North facility is progressing along nicely. Cladding underway on the workshop and the steelwork going up for the office building.

It’s really starting to take shape now and is going to be an amazing facilty for our team to thrive in.

They are incredibly people who work tirelessly to raise much needed funds for local charities like the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund Inc.

Something as easy as a collection bin in your workplace or next bbq can go a long way to support local families affected by cancer.

Let’s all do our bit, help out where we can and kick cancer to the kerb!

Last year, Albury couple John and Sharyn Waldron fed a whopping 440,000 cans and bottles through 10 cent recycling machines.

All the money they raised went to charities, including the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund.

The couple started Cans For Cancer in 2014, after John lost his sister Linda Frenken to cancer following a 17-year battle.

"John's mum died of cancer when he was three and one month to the day after losing Linda, another sister was diagnosed with breast cancer," Sharyn said.

"The family got tested and were found to have the BRCA1 gene (the leading risk factor of hereditary breast cancer).

"Hence this is pushing us to keep going with Cans for Cancer so our grandkids or great grandkids don’t have to deal with it."

The Waldrons collect containers from businesses including Beer Deluxe Albury, KDEC Electrical & Solar, RMR Engineering, Toll, LEED Steel Pty Ltd, Sodens Hotel, Taco Bill Mexican - Albury, Apco and Red Brik Caffe.

They also collect and accept drop offs from people in the community, and offer a bin delivery service for anyone having a party or gathering.

Great progress happening at LEED's new facility at Airside North.

Last week the crew had a 150-ton crane onsite to lift in the external crane beams. With each beam weighing approximately 9600kg and 21m in length it was no small feat to get them in position

These crane beams will host a 20-ton overhead crane and span over incoming trucks to allow for easily and efficient unloading of incoming materials.
