💥Lash Extensions vs A Lash Lift - know the differences!

Lash extensions and lash lifts are both super popular treatments to enhance the look of your eyes, but they differ in several ways👇🏼

⚡️Method:

Lash extensions involve attaching individual synthetic lashes to your natural lashes using medical grade adhesive by a trained lash technician.

A lash lift, on the other hand, is a treatment that uses a chemical solution to curl and lift your natural lashes. A lash lift doesn’t involve adding any extensions to your lashes.

⚡️Result:

Lash extensions give a more dramatic and fuller look to your lashes as they add volume, length, curl and thickness to your natural lashes. Lash extensions can create different looks from natural to dramatic depending on the type of lashes used and the style of application.

A lash lift gives your natural lashes a lifted and curled effect. It makes your lashes look a bit longer and more prominent, but without adding any extra volume or length.

⚡️Maintenance:

Lash extensions require more maintenance than lash lifts. You need to take care of your extensions by cleansing cleansing them daily, avoiding oil based products around the eye, and regularly brushing them. Also, you need to have them filled every few weeks to maintain the look.

Lash lifts require minimal maintenance. You can continue to use your regular mascara and eye makeup. However, you need to avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after the treatment.

⚡️Duration:

Lash extensions can last for around 4-6 weeks, depending on how well you take care of them and how quickly your natural lashes grow and shed.

Lash lifts can last for 6-8 weeks or until your natural lashes shed and regrow.

Overall, lash extensions and lash lift are both great options for enhancing your lashes. Your choice will depend on your personal preference, desired look, and the level of maintenance you are willing to do!

💬HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT LASH REFILL FOR YOU:

Our refill appointments are based on time - so 40, 60, 70, 90 minutes etc.

⏳The more time we have with you = the more lash extensions we can apply 💁🏻‍♀️

So many clients always want to know what length refill they should book, and I always ask, “how much time and money do you want to spend here, and how perfect do you want your lashes to look all of the time?😍

Knowing the answer the above will help us to determine the perfect length appointment for you, but there are also some other variables to consider, such as:

- How often you wash your lashes
- What skin type do you have (oily, normal or dry)
- Whether you rub your eyes or pick/pull at your lashes
- How fast or slow your natural lashes grow and shed
- How much makeup you wear daily

If you haven’t had lashes before and you really aren’t sure which refill to book, I always recommend starting with a 60 minute every 2 weeks, then we can book you in for longer or shorter future appointments depending on how well they last for you 💞

Just don’t leave it too long to book in - if it’s been longer than four weeks since your last fill, you will need to book for a new full set.... unfortunately we aren’t miracle workers and can’t get your lashes back to how you are used to them looking in a refill time slot!😔

It’s always a good idea to have a few refill appointments booked in advance - this way you won’t miss out if you need a particular day/time (especially late night!) or if you only want to see one certain lash artist!
