Ten new artisan experiences have just launched as part of our first Artisan Experience Development Program!

Following BRT's successful application to Agriculture Victoria's Small-scale & Craft Program, we have been working closely with Natalie O'Brien and ten artisan agri-businesses from across the region to develop new and immersive agritourism experiences.

Congratulations to all those operators who participated in this Program, and a big thank you to the Ballarat Council Visitor Economy team for their extensive support.

The Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games certainly present a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the tourism industry of Ballarat and surrounding regions.

How our City and region will come alive for just over a week,17-29 March in 2026, as the best athletes across the Commonwealth come to Ballarat is still to be determined - and importantly costed - with the state government committing $2.6 billion to the games. It is yet to be revealed how the money will be divided across the state.

This is your chance to have your say! The State Government is calling for ideas to help shape a Games like no other and deliver the best outcome for our community. This process will capture ideas to:

- showcase and activate our regions
- develop Victoria 2026’s cultural program
- support and celebrate Traditional Owner and Aboriginal organisations
- engage with local communities and sporting associations.

1. Featured listing (image and detailed info) - $50.
Includes a post on Pyrenees Unearthed social media channels promoting your venue in the lead up to the event.

2. Contribution of accommodation and/or dining experience for a major promotional prize. Competition will be run in the lead up to the event, promoted on social media with paid advertising (reach of 50,000 highly targeted culinary travellers. Participate in this prize package & your business will be featured at top of the accommodation page free of charge).

3. Create a special offer or accommodation package for the Pyrenees Unearthed Festival weekend (available to those with a featured listing).
