Your beautiful fur babies will be groomed & cared for in a secure, safe, friendly, humane & ethical
Professional Pet Groomer
Although I operate from home in Kelso I am a registered business. I purchased this business in February 2014 so have been grooming dogs professionally for 7 years after being trained in 2013 in Sydney but being blessed to have one of the previous owners, Michelle, working with me for 2 years after. I personally have 6 of my own beautiful dogs so every pooch I have in my c
As the year is coming to an end I just want to reflect on the devastating loss of many of my friend’s losing a parent this year, a loved on & one of our precious fur babies. Most recent beautiful Basil Cashen crossed over rainbow bridge. My sincerest condolences to everyone going through the grieving period & not having one of your loved ones with you this Christmas.
I’ll no longer be grooming after Christmas as I’ve managed to win a full time job as a Council Ranger. With varied duties but mostly animal control. It is my passion that pet owners are responsible for the care & welfare of the animals they bring into their family that not only are they kept safe but the safety of the rest of the community is a priority. Our local Council & the team I’m working with are making it a priority to ensure that all animals surrendered or dumped or owners cannot be found go to wonderful furever homes & get their best chance in life that they have always deserve. Please consider adopting one.
I thank you for your support & loyalty over the past 9 years. I am replaceable as there’s a lot of groomers in town now.
Have as good a Christmas as possible & a happy new year. Hoping 2023 is a much better one & sees us all in good health. Stay safe & take care. Tracey
Hi all
Please be aware that there are no more appointments left before Christmas. You will probably find this is the case with all local groomers & it’s important for future reference that if you want your precious pooches groomed before Christmas to book well & truly ahead to ensure you secure an appointment. I dont even have time to groom my own 6 girls before then. Thank you. Here’s a few pics from a few of my latest grooms
Behind the scenes.
We have welcomed a new addition to our family. An elderly customer with health issues asked me to help find a great home for her beloved little gal, well my wonderful sister & parents have opened their hearts & home to Miss Pippa, a 7 year old Pom x Chihwawa who didn’t take long to settle into her new environment. Ginger biscuits (their 40 kg lap dog Labradoodle) had her nose out of joint for the first day but has accepted her as part of their pack now).
Hi all
Such crazy weather for Spring, the constant rain is worrying & my thoughts are with those who live in areas where it’s flooding, resulting in loss of lives and property. We’ve certainly had some devastating times over the past few years.
I just cannot keep track of how many people & pets have passed away this year that are close to me, including my partner who lost his Mum this year & a number of close friends who have lost a parent or beloved family member. More recently gorgeous Delilah & Indi crossed over Rainbow Bridge. Both dearly loved little gals who had the most wonderful lives with their beautiful parents. My sincerest condolences to Lisette & Tim and Kathy & Mark for their heartbreaking losses. They have been a big part of my life as I’ve groomed them since I bought the business almost nine years ago. Their parents have also become friends.
My thoughts too are with Basil tonight as he is undergoing surgery tomorrow and Ziggy who has been battling some health issues of his own. There are also a few of my wonderful human customers going through poor health atm & I’m thinking of you all too & sending love, hugs & strength to you all.
Now for a few recent grooms. All varied depending on the state of the pooches coat, how they are during the grooming process and of course at the request of their parents’ preferences if the state of their coat allows it. Some dogs are matted to the skin & I have no option but to shave them whilst some specifically request the shave on them.
Stay safe all & take care.
Hi all
Hope this finds you well. 2022 has seen the loss of many of my dear friends & beautiful customers’ loved ones - human & fur babies & my heart breaks for them in their grief. I too grieve with my beautiful customers when they lose their precious pooch that I has been part of my life for a very long time. I’ve built up a rapport & trust with them & often pick up health issues as I notice a change in their coat, new lumps, ear infections or even a deterioration in their health. Let’s hope there will be no more losses leading up to Christmas.
Here’s a few of my recent cherubs. I don’t take enough photos, particularly on busy days.
Thank you to all of you who have been loyal to me over the years & welcome to my new customers.
A few behind the scenes pictures
I don’t post much these days thanks to my loyal customers who keep me working most days in the colder months & I am grateful & thankful for this. I thought I would share this video I took yesterday. The 3 boys in the video, one who has just had a very rough clip needing a wet shave due to matting & to have his coat to be gone over again. So sweet Yogi bit me with fear the first time I started doing him a few years back. A pound rescue who is dearly loved & always happy to come here. Zeppo was marked as a dangerous dog at the pound when his family rescued him. I’ve been grooming him for some time now. I used to have to muzzle him when grooming him & keep him separate from other dogs, carry him into my house & now look at him, his mum tells him “ you’re going to see Tracey” & he is happy as now, walks in with me & I can do anything to him now without being worried he will bite me. It’s really about getting their trust, particularly when their start to life hasn’t been good. Then there’s Spot who has his mum believing he’s anxious to be here & making her feel guilty. Oh how our precious fur babies know how to play us.
Hope this finds you all well given the tough times many of us have been through the past few years
Hi all
Hope this finds you well.
I’m hitting the cooler months so won’t be working 5 weekdays each week next few months & still doing sporadic Saturdays. My official working hours are 9-4 but if you need an earlier drop off I’m happy to do so on notice from 8am. Please ensure pick up by 4 as sometimes I have appointments I need to attend. I also understand these covid times & emergencies crop up that may cause cancellations at the last minute but can’t continue to keep rescheduling for the same person.
Also please try to ensure your pooches are flea free. It’s been a nightmare few months. I’ve never seen fleas so bad in the 8 years I’ve been grooming. With the heat & rain they have been rampant & embarrassing that I have to tell other customers their dogs have been exposed & having to flea bomb my groom room regularly & try to kill the fleas as we go.
Please note, other groomers charge additional for dogs with fleas, late pick ups, a hygiene & disinfectant fee for dogs that come in with faeces stuck on their backsides & cleaning fees for dogs continually peeing & p**ping. I do not but please try to toiket your pooch before arrival, be aware of what you feed them before a grooming session, check for fleas & check their bottoms for p**p build up (it gets into the clipper blades).
I still haven’t been taking enough photos regularly but here’s a few from the past few months
Hi All
Hope this finds you well.
Firstly my sincerest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones of late, there have been a few currently grieving the heartbreaking & devastating losses, both people & pooches. In particular one of my dearest friends April losing her precious & beautiful Lyrik who was just the most loyal & loving boy to her & then to her Gracie whom he adored from the time she came home over 2 years ago & doted on her.
Once again I’m booked to the maximum up till Christmas Eve. Please please, every year I remind people early to book their December appointments early, a few months before. I’m still getting inundated with phone calls & messages from people (mostly people who have never come to me before) desperate to get their dogs groomed. I’m very sorry but I cannot help. I have a few appointments between Christmas & new year then back to normal in January. Again due to shoulder injuries I can’t take on new large breed pooches I haven’t done before. I also plead with anyone getting a puppy that will be a large breed to start getting it professionally groomed whilst they are small to get them used to it.
Please also stick to agreed appointment times & cancelling on the day is a loss of income & too late to fill the appointment. Many groomers charge a cancellation fee. If you make an appointment earlier than my starting time, please honour this requested time.
On a more positive note, hoping everyone has a pleasant Christmas & new year & from my very noisy girls - Bonnie, Jessie, Charlie, Ruby, Lilly & Maggie we wish you all a very merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Thank you for your loyalty & to those who have given me cards & gifts, thank you from the bottom of my heart as it makes me feel appreciated 🥰 Stay safe, take care & see you in 2022
Hi All
Hope all is well. My appointments are filled up till Christmas & I will be operating on non public holidays or weekends between Christmas & New Year & resuming normally in January. For regulars that have missed out on an appointment I will see if I can squeeze you in somewhere.
Thank you again to all my loyal & regular customers. You all mean a lot to me. I will do another post before Christmas.
This is a video taken of Ellie’s first visit here. She had a ball playing with the other dogs. Beautiful Benji the German Shepherd is so gentle with all pooches. Stay safe & take care & of course thank you all
Hi All
Firstly I want to offer my sincerest consoles to lovely Lynne & the heartbreaking loss of her beautiful boy Casper this week & Elena for the loss of her beautiful boy Rocky who both went over rainbow bridge. BOth such lovely boys & dearly loved by their families.
Please note DECEMBER is booked out. I still have a few appointments available before the end of this month & will be operating the non public holidays between Christmas & New Year.
My best contact is by messaging me via my business mobile 0447 002 137 or Facebook messenger. I will respond as soon as I can. My official business hours are 9-4 so please let me know if you need an earlier drop off in advance.
Stay safe & take care
Love my job 🥰
Hi All
Hope this finds you well.
Firstly I want to offer my condolences to the two beautiful families of Frankie & Toby for the loss of their gorgeous boys who have crossed over rainbow bridge, so sorry for your heartbreaking loss & thank you for trusting me with the care of your boys. Also to the family of Arthur Cheers who recently passed away. Arthur has brought his 2 boys to this business for many years. May you all Rest In Peace & sending hugs to the families during the difficult time of grieving.
Welcome to the numerous new customers & a number of gorgeous puppies who have had their first ever clips.
I’m still unable to take on new large breeds that I haven’t done before due to a current shoulder injury. When getting a new puppy, if it’s going to be a medium to large breed, please get it used to grooming before it reaches adult size. The same with pups with a predominately poodle style coat, they need grooming maximum of 3 months & regular combing at home.
December is pretty much full so if you want your beloved pooches groomed get in quick before November ends. Stay safe, take care & thank you to all of my wonderful regular customers
To my valued Customers
Hope this finds you all well.
Thank you for your continued support during the winter months. I’ve been fortunate to be able to legally groom during the lockdown with a QR Code & Covid Safety Plan.
Due to a recent partial tear in my shoulder I’m unable to take on new customers with large breed dogs. I am still grooming the ones I’ve had on my books for some time as they are used to me & my set up.
Now is the time to get December bookings secured as the diary for that month is filling up. I will not be taking bookings from customers who have not utilised my services prior to this month. I had a woman book 3 poodles in last year, didn’t show up & blocked me & far too late to get this Donna waiting list in.
This is the time of year Groomers hate as we see poor pooches not just extremely matted & unable to see but infected imbedded grass seeds under their matted coats, eye sleep so built up & hard that when tediously removed the poor pooch has sores underneath & a build up of hard p**p on their bottoms. It’s heartbreaking to see & also takes a lot more time to get off blunting blades & getting faeces stuck in the blades. Please check their bottoms & eyes regularly. I cannot charge the normal price for dogs that come in, in this state. Price will be based on time consumed removing their matted coats. Also please ensure your pooch is flea free & flea treated on arrival.
I want to take this opportunity to also thank those who get their beloved pooches groomed regularly, it’s the responsible thing to do for your precious family member.
Here’s some pics, sorry if your baby/babies aren’t in here as I don’t take regular pics. Stay safe everyone
Hi all
Hope this finds you well. Whilst we have some restrictions up here, we can count our blessings we have avoided lockdown so far 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾 as so many of our fellow Australians have to & my thoughts go out to those suffering financially, with their health (physically & mentally) & their welfare. Let’s hope we stay this way.
I had to share this video of sweet little Jo, 6 months old & her first clip & extremely happy after the experience.
Stay safe, take care, hope to see you soon. This time of year I don’t groom every day 3-4 days a week
Hi All
Hope this finds you well. I haven’t posted for a few months so firstly would like to acknowledge & express how sorry i am to hear of the heart breaking passing of a few of my beautiful groom babies Charlie Stubbs, Maggie Gildea, Tess Cox & Pepper Vance & my sincerest condolences to their wonderful families for the devastating loss. I too will miss these gorgeous pooches.
In the winter months I’m working by appointment but my official hours are 9-4. Please advise if you need an earlier drop off or are unable to pick up by agreed time.
Thanking you for your patronage over the years & welcome to my new customers & some who have returned with their new puppies following the heartbreaking losses in the recent past.
Stay safe & Warm & take care
Wishing you all a happy Easter bearing in mind the tragedies over the past 12 months with fires, floods, covid, the loss of loved ones, those battling illness (physical & mental) & my thoughts go out to any of you affected by such heartache.
Thank you to all my loyal customers & welcome to the new ones. As the colder months approach i won’t have set hours, days will be by appointment & Saturday’s will be sporadic over this period.
Officially I start at 9 & usually finish by 4, it’s okay for earlier drop offs if I’m given notice & please advise if you cannot pick up by 4.
Take care & stay safe & for those heading off for a break, safe journey
This is these gorgeous Pups from different families first time at the groomers, both terrified at first & not used to other dogs. Already bathed & blow dried then it was play time. Went home happy & tired but very relaxed. It’s always a great idea for your precious pup & the groomer to get them used to grooming & the environment as soon as practicable
Hello to all my loyal & valued customers, many who have become friends. Hoping all is well with you all.
We’ve lost another long term pooch, the lovely Phoebe Ellis crossed rainbow bridge recently. Sincerest condolences to Jasmyn & Stu for your heartbreaking loss.
As the quieter months approach, I won’t be working every day during the week & cutting back my Saturdays.
Here’s some pics of some of my gorgeous fur customers
Hi all
Hope this finds you all well. Just wanted to post a few pics of some of my beautiful customers over the past week. Trying to make a concerted effort to take more
Hi All
Hope you are keeping cool & keeping your precious fur babies cool & comfortable in this weather & NOT walking them in hot temperatures. Safest temperature is under 25 otherwise they are at risk of heat exhaustion.
I’m getting a lot of calls for stripping out large breed dogs such as huskies, malamutes, maremmas that are a few years old & never been groomed before. Please please please for the sake of your pooch & the groomers start getting your pooches used to grooming at a young age. Dogs can be extremely strong & when they aren’t used to grooming, break groomer’s property/equipment & also cause injuries to us.
No pics of my groom pooches this post but a video of 4 of my 6 girls letting off steam since some evenings it’s far too hot to do their regular hours walk
Happy new year to you all. I’m sorry if 2020 hasn’t been good for you & hope 2021 is much better for you. I hope you had a lovely Christmas & nice night last night.
I’m back on deck from Tuesday if you need your precious pooches groomed.
I’m unable to edit my address & working hours on this site but I work by appointment, usually working Monday to Friday in the warmer months 9-4 (earlier drop offs or later pick ups possible with prior notice) & some Saturdays.
Quickest way for a response is by messaging my mobile on 0447 002 137 or Facebook messenger private page of business page.
Stay safe & hope to see you soon
Merry Christmas everyone
It’s been a very busy few weeks leading up to Christmas & I’m looking forward to a few days rest & recreation. I know 2020 hasn’t been the best year for many & some of you won’t be enjoying today & im sorry about this.
We lost another precious soul in the past few weeks, the beautiful Mickey Roxborough, a very sweet boy. My sincerest condolences to his beautiful family for their heartbreaking loss.
Thank you again to my loyal & regular customers & some of the lovely gifts I’ve received, it’s wonderful to be appreciated for what I do.
I’m working a couple of days between Christmas & New Year & January will return pretty much to normal operation.
Stay safe & take care
I want to offer my apologies to the many messages I haven’t returned. I don’t have any appointments left prior to Christmas & I’m being inundated with calls. I’m working as many hours as my hands allow me to each day, this is 8 hours straight grooming with no break. I will still be working most week days in January. Most groomers, including myself have their regulars book in for the December month in September/October.
Also my sincerest condolences to little Calvin Yates who passed away last week & to the wonderful Reardon family who sadly lost 3 in small intervals this year - RIP Winston, Bella & Molly.
Thanking all of my beautiful long term customers who have stuck with me & welcome to the new ones.
Hi all
Just advising that I’m booked out till Christmas Eve, if however you are one of my regulars who forgot to book in, I will happily accommodate you somehow in appreciation of your loyalty.
Unfortunately I had a new customer book 3 poodles in & didnt show. She made the appointment via my business page but deleted the message & blocked me so I couldn’t contact her. These appointments could have been filled by others desperate to get their dogs groomed if they had the decency to cancel the appointment at least the day beforehand. I’m considering taking credit card details from new customers booking in more than one dog or a large breed that 3 small dogs could be groomed in their place if they don’t show up.
Hi all
Hope you are all well.
I’m still able to fit a few grooms in for the month of December as some of my regulars brought their appointments forward. Please message me on my business mobile 0447 002 137 or Facebook messenger. Please remember my hours are 9-4 & if you need to drop off earlier or pick up later please let me know prior to the day of appointment. I haven’t taken many photos again since my last post
Just checking in. Hope you are all well.
My hours of work predominantly are 9-4 or by appointment these days. I’m happy to do earlier drop offs but please organise this with me prior or if you can’t pick up till after 4 please inform me at time of booking your appointment.
It’s that time of year I see heartbreaking cases of dogs neglected for at least a year. It’s painful for the dog to go through the process of having their coats removed & challenging for the groomer. Some of these poor pooches need to be sedated & done by a vet. Please get your dogs groomed on a 3 monthly basis. Often there is imbedded grass seeds that are dangerous & can kill them or their eyes have built up dried sleep that when removed they have bleeding & weeping sores. If you’re getting a pup, please equate the grooming into its life care
Hi All
Just a reminder that it’s the time of year where I’m booked out a few weeks in advance & December is filling up fast so unfortunately I just can’t fit one more in at the last minute unless there’s been a cancellation. I’m sure all local groomers will be in the same boat so please plan ahead.
Also it’s unfortunately the time of year we see the once a year extremely matted pooches which is heartbreaking. The matting causes pain to the pooch & it’s a task getting their coats off & of course there’s no other option but to shave them. These jobs incur additional charges given the length of time taken to get through their coats & it blunts the blades.
Here’s a video of today’s cuties waiting for their final clips (they have a rough clip, bath, blow dry then I go over their coats again
