We aim to make the process of Windscreen, and all other vehicle glass replacement as easy & seamless as possible.

We will still check our phone and messages intermittently outside of our standard contact hours, so if you do have an emergency please do still contact and leave us a message (either a voicemail or text) and we will get back to you).

We may still offer service outside of these hours, by prior arrangement.

In selecting these hours, we have taken into consideration that it's often challenging to contact and make arrangements for necessary services within business hours, these contact hours provide 2 hours before and after the regular 9-5 hours to contact us.

We know at times when incidents that are unexpected and 'out of the ordinary' happen it can really shake things up and be really inconvenient.

We believe it's important to be met with a level of care, consideration & understanding.

In this particular instance, our expertise in all things autobody came in very handy with assisting this customer, and getting their new windscreen installed in a super timely manner.

Did you know that often there can be more then one windscreen for your model of vehicle? And it is important that when your windscreen is replaced it is replaced with the screen that matches your current windscreen and the features that your windscreen has?

When you call us at Bathurst Windscreens we will ask you a few different questions, and depending on your response it will likely be easy to determine the correct windscreen for your vehicle but in some instances, we may ask further questions.

Some of the main questions that we will ask when you contact us include:

What Year, Make, Model & Body Shape is your vehicle.

Does your vehicle have Automatic Wipers (if you have automatic wipers, you will need a windscreen that has a Rain Sensor Bracket).

Does your vehicle have Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (often referred to as ADAS, if your vehicle has ADAS then your ADAS camera will require recalibration at the time of fitting and you will require a windscreen that will enable successful recalibration of your ADAS camera).

We will also ask if your vehicle is Petrol, Diesel or Hybrid (this helps us determine if you require an acoustic windscreen, which assists with cabin noise).

Sometimes you may be unsure of what features your vehicle has and that’s where we may ask you for some pictures to enable us to see what features you have or Jim may pop around and check out your vehicle to ensure that we provide you with a quote based on the correct windscreen for your vehicle.

Our aim is to provide you with the most accurate quote, and to ensure that your windscreen is replaced in a timely manner with the correct screen.

Does it really matter how your windscreen is installed?

The NSW Police force displayed vehicles at the Repco Bathurst 1000 this year that were crash tested to 80 kilometres per hour

The result is an indication of the stresses that the vehicle body and windshield have to withstand during a crash

Although the windscreen appears completely destroyed it has stayed fully attached to the vehicle body on all sides during the aperture distortion

Keen observation will show this windscreen is not the original genuine Toyota windscreen

This particular windscreen has been replaced with an aftermarket replacement windscreen that not only meets the requirements set by Toyota, it has also demonstrated that it was installed using correct adhesive techniques ready to withstand any impact that could have occurred

It’s a bit of a wet start to Race Weekend!

The 2018 Ford Mustang windscreen includes features such as

•Adas for controlling forward crash avoidance and lane keep assist

•Sensor for automatic windscreen wipers

•Solar glass to filter out ultraviolet violet heat

•Soundscreen®️ sound proof glass to reduce interior noise

Some of the ADAS sensors fitted to windscreens by manufactures can appear similar but in fact have different roles to play when it comes to the safety systems that could be operating in your vehicle

This windscreen has multiple sensors fitted that are commonly referred to as ADAS

These sensors include -

1. Radar Emitter for Forward Collision Alert / Emergency Braking
2. Forward Facing Camera
3. Rain Sensor for Automatic Wipers
4. Radar Receiver for Forward Collision Alert / Emergency Braking
5. This windscreen also features heated glass which can be seen as the thin silver dotted lines throughout the glass
