Boronia 4 Learners
This week in Boronia 4, we have been exploring the world of three-dimensional shapes, learning about their unique features and adding shadows caused by a proposed light source. We have also been supercharging our understanding of place value with hands-on activities.

Ms Southwell, Ms Irwin, Mrs Little, Ms Moppett, Mrs Sargent and Sarah are the team in our Boronia block who work with Year 1, Year 2 and Year 4 mainstream students. They love how close they are to the playground but don't like how far away the carpark is at the end of the day.
Infants Assembly
It’s been a whole month since our last assembly! This week, we heard all about the Golden Gotchas from Miss Terrill - we’re all hoping to win that prize! Some Year 1 students shared their writing with us and Wattle 3 won class of the week (and a Golden Gotcha each). Congratulations to all award recipients.

Waggambirra Dancers
Our Waggambirra Dance group is a cultural dance group open to all Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students who wish to perform cultural dances at various events throughout the year. These students have been working with Jordan, from Dirraybang Footprint, twice a term to build on the dances they learnt last year and have begun learning new dances. Students will be further supported with additional rehearsals at 2nd break on Wednesdays with Tracy.

Wandi Warriors
This term, Grevillea 3 have been reading Wandi in English. They learned about the true story of a Dingo named Wandi who was taken from his family by an eagle. Grevillea 3 wrote a letter to the sanctuary where Wandi lives. We were very excited to receive a response to all our questions and some photos of Wandi and his friends.
A big thank you to the Dingo Discovery Sanctuary in Victoria for your reply and photos.

Peer Reading
On Wednesday afternoon, Kurrajong 3 hosted Eucalypt 2 for an exciting peer reading event where students had the opportunity to read to each other. It was heartwarming to see the older students patiently helping their younger peers with their reading skills. The event not only promoted literacy but also fostered a strong sense of camaraderie among the students. It was a truly rewarding experience for everyone involved, and we look forward to more peer reading!
