The Art as Medicine Ceremony comes to a close today.
We’ve been focalising our efforts and awareness to our soul centres - where our unique gifts LIVE. Deep in the pregnant pause of life we have journeyed, where creations take root.
Many wonderful projects are emerging from our whole team.
Stay tuned for exciting wildschool developments announced soon!
There is a way back.
Follow the 5 Sacred pathways, home.

PEACE.
This drawing is by Anja Rozen, a 13-year-old primary school student in Slovenia. She was chosen from 600,000 children around the world to create a piece of art to show what peace looks like.
She is the winner of the international Plakat Miru competition.
“My drawing represents the land that binds us and unites us.”
“Humans are woven together. If someone gives up, others fall. We are all connected to our planet and to each other, but unfortunately we are little aware of it. We are woven together. Other people weave alongside me my own story; and I weave theirs,” said the young designer.
Some TIME in the leads to spying some vine scrambling over some native grasses that form a hedge at the top of our growing area.
Cats claw (Uncaria tomentosais) is native to the tropical regions of South America, and Central America and has been used as medicine for thousands of years by Amazon Peoples.
It’s easy to pull out usually but it’s a “never get to the bottom of it” type of plant… that’s ok because it has great medicinal uses! You just don’t want it to take over and suffocate your plants …. I’ve seen it completely take over and smother the host trees.
So the ones pulled today have become a pretty flower wreath and the rest will be dried for herbal medicine..
“There are numerous in vitro studies that indicate cat’s claw extract can halt human cancer cell proliferation and induce apoptosis (cell death) in cancer cells.”
“Cat’s claw has been used since the 1990s for treating Lyme disease, cancer, AIDS, arthritis, and immune disorders.”
The Botanical Institute
Cats claw has a very obvious leaf shape that looks like a cats claw , the leaves are always in opposite pairs.. photos attached ..
So then, a few minutes of “weeding” turns into a creative activity for my daughter , medicine for my husband who is healing Cancer and weaving materials for me…. This is , the 2nd Sacred Pathway of Cultural Repair.
Keep an eye out for !
“Everything that lives about us in the fragile and gentle light, frail grasses, tender branches, hollyhocks, and the shadow that brushes them lightly by, and the wind that knots them, and the singing and hopping birds that swarm riotously in the sun like clusters of jewels, everything that lives in the fine ruddy garden loves us artlessly, and we—we love everything.
We worship the lilies we see growing; and the tall sunflowers, brighter than the Nadir— circles surrounded by petals of flames—burn our souls through their glow.
The simplest flowers, the phlox and the lilac, grow along the walls among the feverfew, to be nearer to our footsteps; and the involuntary weeds in the turf over which we have passed open their eyes wet with dew.
And we live thus with the flowers and the grass, simple and pure, glowing and exalted, lost in our love, like the sheaves in the gold of the corn, and proudly allowing the imperious summer to pierce our bodies, our hearts and our two wills with its full brightness.“
Emile Verhaeren
Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) has a long history of medicinal use dating back to ancient times. It was traditionally employed to treat various ailments, including fevers, arthritis, and digestive issues. In the context of migraines, its use gained attention in the 1970s when a woman experienced success from chewing feverfew leaves which helped prevent her migraines.
Since then, interest in feverfew as a natural remedy for migraines has grown. The herb contains compounds, such as parthenolide, having anti-inflammatory and vasodilatory effects, which may contribute to its benefits for migraine sufferers..
Since September Equinox we’ve been journeying through the first sacred pathway “food as medicine”.
At the completion of the pathway just prior to Christmas, I was in awe of the awakened body wisdom I could hear from the Wildschoolers and the grounded confidence in their instinct to guide their own well-being. It’s a beautiful thing to witness. Many small and simple points of daily connection accumulate like FireWire back to source of what feeds us. “The pathway is THROUGH the BODY”
All of this, and after a short break we have been preparing to “meet” the Mother for deep NATURE CONNECTION, the second sacred Pathway.
And we are making ready.
We’ll be offline for a bit as we gather in the forests and play in the waters of Gumbaynggirr Country, humbly and gratefully, with prayers for WORLD PEACE embedded in all our actions. ☮️
Happy New Year…..
We are Children of an ever expanding, LIVING Universe.
Is that arguable?
The human assignment is to manifest Heaven on Earth. It is written in our DNA, explained in the Bible , the Torah, the Quran and the Oral Traditions of Indigenous Cultures all of the World.
Undoing and destroying the living order is not part of the assignment. Spell live backwards and you can see what that is.
Dont push back , push forward and challenge yourself to EVOLVE this year.
We are ALL the same.
5 fingered, two legged with the same DNA.
Difference is an illusion designed to disempower.
Uniqueness however, is a gift.
Be the light and be the way.
TRANSCEND.

Watsu …. What a beautiful way to bring our baby girl into the world….
“Watsu, originally developed by Harold Dull at Harbin Hot Springs, California in the early 1980s, combines elements of muscle stretching, joint mobilization, massage, Shiatsu, and dance, performed in chest-deep warm water (around 35°C = 95°F). The receiver is continuously supported by a practitioner or therapist while being backfloated, rhythmically cradled, moved, stretched, and massaged.”
Chief eased my labour pains with Watsu while we were birthing Paikea in this billabong.. now we are raising money to ease Chiefs pains and cure cancer naturally, two years ago we was diagnosed with terminal colorectal cancer but he has chosen natural remedies and treatments to heal himself and despite doctors prognosis he is healing!!

We are Deep into FOOD as MEDICINE pathway now, the shizzle is getting real..
As much as I resisted moving WildSchool to an online program this year -
I am LOVING IT.
We are LOVING IT.
It makes sense for people to build connection and village WHERE THEY LIVE.
Its really very exciting what is unfolding.
EMERGENCE IS KEY.
WE ARE NATURE.
BECOMING A PEOPLE OF PLACE IS EXCITING.
This morning, and I having a good yarn about the future of Wild Schools on Regenerative Farms across Australia centred by Indigenous Thinking - PODCAST out in the new year..
KINSHIP WITH PLACE
1. umbrella fern
2. Foambark tree
3. Purslane/Portulaca seeds
4. Purslane greens
5. Freshwater mussels.
The magic is all around you..
And so it was.
Stephen said to me last night “what did you think?”
Of the show?
Yeah the show.
Well, I said to him, it’s like this for me: by the end of Never Land I realised something and it goes like this for me - the underwriting , the unsaid, of all of what your sharing with us , I think, is that we are breaking a bunch of covenants as humans (against Creation).
And my clarity was that YOU Stephen need to write a book of Covenants for these times..
we just plain need new covenants.
And as I was sitting and laughing and crying and praying and feeling 200+ people crack open in the Bellingen Memorial Hall last night, I realised NIGHTS OF GRIEF AND MYSTERY
IS
THOSE
COVENANTS.

And then, the GRIEFWALKER came to town……
Australian tour begins this week!
"What more to say about these troubadours of the night, who steal into our towns and cities and lay siege to our hearts? Who blow a hole a mile wide across the veil of normalcy?"
PR, Penzance, UK
October 21-22 : Never Land - Culture, Agriculture and the Striving for Belonging.
(Has it ever been more relevant?)
October 23 : A NIGHT OF GRIEF AND MYSTERY.
Life will not be the same.
Good to see some EMERGENCE coming from the garden out of the dry bones of the parched Earth…. Whose getting gentle rain????
Anyone have a clue about this first fungi?
“Orphan Wisdom is a teaching house and a learning house for the skills of making human culture.
Knowledge, in an information-drunk, competence addicted culture like our own, must be the life-tested skill of gathering what is needed to make life without killing life in the gathering.
Wisdom is the place where knowledge is fired, forged, and annealed to become something of great beauty, useful to the world.
Human Culture is made when that beauty swells into life and dies to nourish a time we won’t live to see.
Knowledge gathers wood and flint and gut. Wisdom conjures a cranky, playable fiddle from the gatherings. People who have been bathed in the grief and love for life play some small magnificence on those fiddles together, and sing their unknown songs, and make human culture.”

Who out there agrees?
This is literally the last two days to join the WILD SCHOOL journey this year and the team reckoned we better give the final call - we start our 9 month adventure this Monday - and the good news is, you can do it from where you are and apply it into your own home and community.
More info is available on our website - link in bio - this is really a call out to catch those last minute folks whose hearts are yearning for connection and support so they don’t miss out.
This only runs once per year for nine months and is extremely experiential and emergent based on who is in the program. This is NOT a pre-programmed online course that you can jump into at anytime. We give you the Cultural Repair map and you bring it ALIVE in your life and community. We give you the bones, you flesh it out by your life as you bring your Gifts alive as a regenerative leader. This is suitable for homeschooling parents who want the nature connection prioritised as central to learning, suitable to community builders, appropriate for new property owners who want to fast track their learning curve and build community and self-reliance, for anyone wanting a career in nature connection mentoring and regenerative design and/or leadership and for anyone who is passionate about CENTRING INDIGENOUS WISDOM as a way forward for humanity.
If the insight we share on our website sings to your heart and intuition, then please get in touch by Friday AM to discuss your enrolment.
We will not run this program again until September next year.
GAME ON BELLINGEN, OCT 21-22.
What would it be like, as a community, to contemplate the most important questions of our times, TOGETHER?
“The relentless pursuit of self reliance and self improvement is rooted in our lost connection to common stories, homeland and ancestors that bind and unite us. The times now demand that we recognize the world’s suffering in our own.
We are children of strange times. Our birthmarks are both troubled and troubling. We do not, most of us, belong. We inhabit, we own, instead. Being in the world but not of it: that was once a foundation of Western spirituality. It will end up being a stain by which we will be held in disrepute. Our way with the land entrusted to us bears the marks of our unbelonging. Given the fact that we don’t have a long time here, we should proceed with an undesperate degree of urgency in the matter of land stewardship. There is a fine decision to be made: we bear the mark of unbelonging either as an affliction or as an assignment. Those coming to this event may have, voluntarily or not, opted for the latter.”
Stephen Jenkinson
NEVER LAND - Tickets available via link in bio.
Everyone needs a Little herb garden right outside the kitchen door…. I know it’s my solace, the plant realm.. how about you? Would you like to be part of a 9 month challenge for deeper connection to your garden and sense of belonging??
If we weren’t disturbed by colonisation, Country would be our pantry, we would have 400+ individual relationships with plants and animals in our habitat. We evolved in Nature, we will only evolve further, in Nature, because that is what we are.
We can get back there, we know the way. But there are things to give up to make the space for real change..
“We’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden…. “
These cubs are on their first camp-out this week up in the mountains west of Bellingen.
The kids are 7 and 8 year olds , and they were all nervous about sleeping away from home , but they will have a ball and cross this threshold , ready for many more camping adventures.
Our homeschool group does 3 days of Steiner curriculum with a wonderful wonderful teacher and we’ve started bushschool on an extra day.. it’s a great combo!
