Today, August 28th, is
🌈Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day🌈 💖to honor and remember our beloved pets who've crossed over to the other side.

I'm taking a moment to remember my sweet Nala, who was more than just a pet - she was my constant companion, inspiration & best friend. She was there when I first started creating art, and her presence sparked joy and creativity in me.

Nala would always keep me company in my studio, lying by my feet or snoozing next to me as I painted. Her calm energy and loving gaze inspired some of my most cherished pieces.

She may be gone, but her memory lives on in my art and in my heart. I'm grateful for the time we had together and the impact she had on my creative journey.

In memory of Nala and all the furry friends who've inspired us, I'll keep creating and spreading love and joy through my art.

Proud moment alert!

I designed these Indigenous footy socks with love and pride, and it's amazing to see them come to life on the field!

My team, the White Hill Demons, didn't get to play on Indigenous Round, but we wore our hearts on our feet the following game and made a statement!

And I'm thrilled to see the next gen rocking my design too - the Under 18s team looking sharp and proud!

Back in March 2024, I had the privilege of hosting a Painting Boomerang workshop as part of the DAHLIA & ARTS FESTIVAL and Festival of Friendships with Eaglehawk Community House Inc.

I've been meaning to post these amazing photos below for a while now, but better late than never, right 😆♥️

As a First Nations artist, it was an honor to share my culture and creativity with kids, parents, and adults who joined in on the fun! The energy was electric, and I loved seeing everyone's unique boomerang artworks come to life.

A highlight of the day was meeting an elder from my mob, who generously gifted me their boomerang artwork. I'm still grateful for their kindness!

It was an awesome day, and I'm so glad I got to be part of it. Thanks to everyone who came and made it so special!

On Thursday the 22nd of May , I received some heartbreaking news that my Uncle & cousins father Les had passed away ❤️‍🩹, Im honored to share that this artwork below of my beloved Uncle Les , This artwork was displayed at Les’s funeral service. It was a way for me to pay tribute to his memory and celebrate his life.

Les was my little cousins Dokato & Donnas father ,I had recently started getting closer to my Uncle Les last year as I would stay over with my cousins a lot and he would even let me bring my puddie Nyala 🐾💗

Uncle Les had such a kind and generous heart always helping others , and his love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was such an amazing father and I know he will looking down and watching over his children , siblings and family forever.

The painting is now forever with my little cousins, Dokato and Donna. I'm so glad that they will get to grow up with this reminder of their father’s love and legacy.

Below i’ve included photos of the artwork and the photo of the artwork with my Uncle at his funeral & a collage of photos i’ve used as references for this piece too 😊

Here are the process photos from recent artwork butterfly collage 💗💓

Tilted : A butterfly Sent from heaven 2024

Media : On Wooden Cutout of Butterfly sign , Collage of photos with Acrylic Paint & Paint Makers

Meaning : Here is a Collage Artwork with photos in the bottom & middle , these people in the middle are my Aunty Nicky & Uncle Les. The female next to Aunty Nicky on the left is Aunty Nicky as well when she was younger and below her is her lovely father. On Males side on the right is My Aunty Nicky & Uncle Les beloved mother and below is another photo of Aunty Nicky’s Father ✨💕 Around them i have painted the butterfly’s body and wings and outlined the wing in white dots. This butterfly is a reminder that our loved ones may be gone, but they will always be with us in spirit, guiding us through the ups and downs of life.

The thought behind this piece is that My Aunty Nicky loves butterflys and I saw this plain wooden butterfly cut out and thought that i would paint it for my Aunty Nicky then i had a thought that i would make a collage of some of my Aunty Nicky’s loved one as we have just Lost my Uncle Les and i thought this would bring my aunty some comfort with this art piece with her brother Les & her parents on this butterfly. 🦋💗✨
