𝗡𝗔𝗜𝗗𝗢𝗖 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

We are incredibly grateful to our Treehouse Kids for joining us last week in celebrating NAIDOC Week! Together, we brought to life a beautiful collaborative coloring activity featuring artwork by the talented Belinda, an artist from Worimi Country.

This year's NAIDOC week theme is "Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud". The fire represents the enduring strength and vitality of Indigenous cultures, passed down through generations.

In celebration of NAIDOC week the Treehouse kids this week have been completing a collaborative colouring activity of artwork from Belinda, an artist from Worimi Country.

We've had an amazing time during the first week of our school holiday programs! Each day was tailored to different shared interests, offering the kids opportunities to collaborate, get creative, learn through play, enjoy fun arts and crafts, and connect with peers who share their passions.

We are excited to introduce a project we have been working on in partnership with Bendigo Community Health Services Loddon Children’s Health and Wellbeing Local- our Early Career Paediatric Training Program for physiotherapy and speech pathology.

This unique program unlike any other in the region will allow recent graduates, or those new to paediatrics, to have the opportunity to work across both private and community sectors with a comprehensive and highly supported professional development plan. Successful candidates will spend 3 days per week in the private setting at Treehouse, and 2 days within the Loddon Children’s Health and Wellbeing hub at Bendigo Community Health Services.

The goal of the 2 year program is to support the development of our rural paediatric workforce and support clinicians to have a sound generalist skill base in paediatric physio or speech pathology, with development of confidence to work in a variety of settings.

A few of our team members had the pleasure of mingling with the fantastic team from PATC today. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn from each other, share our experiences, and open lines of communication between our services.

We think our Exercise Physiologist Josh is a legend!! Josh spends his days helping kids develop strength, sport skills, co-ordination and supporting them to gain confidence in gyms and other physical activities in the community.

Cai and Josh attend the gym together weekly, and Cai continues to smash goals and gain independence in using the equipment and managing his gym program.

Fitness, and participation in physical activity, whether with peers or solo has huge benefits for lifelong physical and mental health.

June is Pride month!

We have the power as adults to create supportive and affirming spaces in this world for children to learn that who they are is wonderful. Our language and actions have incredible impact on the way children see themselves and accept and celebrate others.

At Treehouse we want everyone to feel safe to be their authentic selves, and proud of who they are.

This month we have had a focus on making sure our workplace, processes, documentation and supports are as LGBTQIA+ inclusive as they can be and promote a feeling of safety and affirmation for all of our kids, families and staff. As a society we can do better for our LGBTQIA+ community, and while we know we can always continue to learn, advocate and do more, we want our allyship to be known and for everyone to feel safe and celebrated within our walls.

Get your little one ready for a fantastic start to kinder! Our Transition to Kinder Group is perfect for children turning 3 in 2024, those currently attending 3- year- old kinder in 2024 and those starting 3-year-old kinder in 2025.

Starting Wednesday 17th July 2024, join us fortnightly from 11:30am to 1:00pm to help your child develop essential skills:

Our Transition to School Group for Term 3 is beginning Monday 15th July 2024. The group is aimed at children starting school in 2025 and will focus on a number of key skills to help get them ready.

We are ready to build our nature play space in our back paddock in East Bendigo!

To do this we are looking for help to find loose parts and nature "bits" to set up a beautiful, engaging and fun therapeutic space for kids to play and explore.

If anyone has any old logs, stumps, cable reels, large rocks, mud kitchen accessories, tyres, wooden posts, or old wooden outdoor furniture you no longer need we would love to chat with you!

We are looking to add another OT to our team to offer awesome Neurodiversity Affirming supports! All levels of experience welcome to apply :)

Treehouse School Holiday Club is back in 4.5 weeks and we're thrilled about what we have in store!

We have five brand-new themes, along with our popular Einstein/Picasso group. Please note, the Einstein/Picasso activities are different from previous sessions, so if your child attended this theme last holidays, they can join again.

We’re also excited to introduce a new group for children in upper primary school. "Who Dun It" involves problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and teamwork to solve a mystery before time runs out!

At Treehouse we wouldn't be able to provide the support we do to families without our amazing admin team.

We want to show our appreciation for these wonderful girls and the hard work they put in every day. Their jobs are super busy, tricky and varied but they are experts at keeping us all organised whilst demonstrating care and warmth to our families every day.
