Bendigo Dance Eisteddfod

Good Afternoon,

It is with incredible sadness that the Bendigo Dance Eisteddfod Committee announces that the Bendigo Dance Eisteddfod has been dissolved effective immediately.

This decision is not one that has been taken lightly, with every Committee member thinking long and hard on this before arriving at this decision. Unfortunately recent events, both covid and other, have made it clear to us that the continuation of the Eisteddfod in future has become increasingly difficult to ensure. As a result we would prefer to end the Eisteddfod with the fond memories we all have, rather than in disappointment in future.

We have run an extremely successful Eisteddfod over the past 17 years which couldn't have been done without a huge number of people. For all past and present Committee members, Volunteers, Dancers, Teachers, Parents and Audience members we thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts. We will be forever thankful for your participation over the years.

This is a sad day but we will always be proud of everything everyone achieved at our Eisteddfod.

This Sunday at Bunnings Kangaroo Flat we will be holding a sausage sizzle. If you can spare and hour or two of your time to help we would be forever grateful. Please message the page and help us prepare to come bigger and better than even in 2022!

The BDE committee met recently to discuss the Eisteddfod for 2021. It was with great sadness, after a lot of consideration, that the decision was made to cancel the Eisteddfod for 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

This is not the decision the Committee wanted to make, but the continued uncertainty and unpredictability of the pandemic has sadly lead us to this decision.

We are all looking forward to seeing you all once again in 2022 when, hopefully, we can resume our wonderful Eisteddfod with all our brilliant competitors.

Well we are nearly at the end of the holidays, nearly at the end of our Eisteddfod - here are a couple more photos - looking forward to seeing how everyone has 'grown' over this time. And please remember to stay safe !

So rounding the dates off, senior weekend would be over, the under 6's completed and we would be working with the 6-8/8-10 age groups. Here is a pic from just a little while ago - Oh the Memories !

Well today's the time we are normally unpacking and setting up for our Eisteddfod, but its not to be this year. ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with great sadness that we are announcing that the 2020 Bendigo Dance Eisteddfod has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This decision has not been made lightly, however it is a decision made necessary with the on going COVID-19 pandemic.

We would like to thank everyone for their patience as we worked through the situation to arrive at this decision.

We would also like to take this moment to urge everyone to adhere to any conditions placed upon the community by our health authorities, the health and safety of all our Eisteddfod stakeholders is paramount to the committee.

While the 2020 Eisteddfod is not running, we assure you all that we will return in 2021 and we look forward to seeing you all happy and healthy once this pandemic is under control.

We are currently in discussions with Stardom about how to refund the entry money already paid, once we have further news on this we will make a further announcement.
