Maiden Gully Handball

Two of our players were given the opportunity to play Nationals for South Australia last week.

They had a fantastic time at the event and the team made it to the final!

did an amazing job putting the team together and further helping our Bendigo Boys develop their handball skills.

Our very own Maiden Gully Handball Club players got the opportunity to join in the Australian Handball Club Championships.

The Maiden Gully Boys had a fantastic week under the guidance of UniSA and have taken away a lot of learnings from the South Australian veterans.

A massive thank you to UniSA handball for allowing us to join them in the biggest Australian club tournament of the year and to for hosting a great tournament.

Third training session of the new season ✅

After a huge season for the club last year we only intend to continue our growth this year in our historical third season.

Our first training of the season begins this Sunday (5th of February) and runs from 12:00pm-2:00pm at the Bendigo Badminton and Table Tennis Centre (140 Victoria St)

The Australian Under 20s team goes unbeaten throughout the tournament and wins the IHF Oceania Trophy.

Congratulations to all involved!

Two members of our club are currently representing the Australian U20s and U18s teams at the Cook Islands this week as they are trying to win the IHF Oceania Trophy Event.

The National Championships are over, but what a great tournament it has been.
The boys got the chance to watch some high quality handball on Sunday as both the Victorian Men and Women’s teams battled for victory in their respective finals with the women only just losing by 1 point whilst the men’s team won their final by 1 point.

Our club was even mentioned during the final presentations by the Handball Australia President!

We hope to see some of the guys from our team representing Victoria next year!

Went down to the National Championships today!
Before we got there we had a quick training session with Handball Australia’s youth coach Eoin Murray and some of the youth team!

It was a big day for the guys and we look forward to watching the finals tomorrow.

HUGE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL PLAYERS - MUST READ
The handball national championships are coming up soon, they will be held from the 3rd-6th of November. This is essentially a state of origin event for handball and the current South Australian team does not have enough players to play in the competition. HandballVic have asked our club if we have any MGHC players who would like to form a Vic/SA team so that SA can play, if you’re interested in playing please message this account or ASAP.

Our inaugural home match against Saint Kilda Handball Club is coming up soon so keep your calendars free!
