Asthma management, our team is here to help
The first few weeks of school is always a period with higher asthma flare-ups and a spike in asthma hospitalisations.
Taking preventative measures during the first few weeks of school can help your child keep well and out of hospital.
For parents and caretakers, make sure your kids have good asthma management before starting the school year.
Complete our back to school asthma checklist, with reminders like:
✅ Have an asthma review with your child’s GP before the school year begins.
✅ Revise good asthma management including correct use of medication devices, either with the GP, practice nurse or pharmacist.
✅ If your child is prescribed a preventer medication, ensure correct routine before they head back to school.
