The Camp has secured one of Melbourne's most sought after bands to perform at your pub!
If Wayne Gale did not start the legendary CORNER HOTEL in Richmond "back in the day" the PARTY ANIMALS would never have been formed!
(Wayne is a guitarist in this amazing band. Come meet the man who gave bands we know today as house hold names a start!)
The “Party Animals” are a legend in the Melbourne Music scene and were originally formed to be the “ Music Industry Band “ for The Corner Hotel in Richmond.
The line-up was star studded and boasted many of Australia’s top musicians who were available and not playing on tour.
The band played on Monday nights at The Corner Hotel which very quickly became the place to
Be as the "after party" venue for concert goers and band members alike.
The result of this was that many of Australia’s top musicians wanted to be guests.
One night “Pink Floyd” were playing at the Tennis Centre came along and saw the band and Pink Floyd joined the band on stage.
Over time the band settled into a solid line up of handpicked musicians who were in bands that had played at the Corner and the band just went from strength to strength.
Some 35 years later the band is still playing and has over the years built a very solid reputation as a great live band.
The rest as they say is history!
