About Us:
We are a relatively new clinic situated in the heart of Bendigo. We pride ourselves on our client communication and patient care and strive to provide gold standard.

Occasional weekend work and some after-hours as needed
Work with dedicated vet which are hard-working and committed with years of experience in general practice.
Interesting and varied role, we let our nurses do a lot more hands-on nursing!

About You:
You will be expected to deliver a high level of nursing care to all patients
Good communication to clients and other staff
You can work well under pressure in a team and autonomously.
Great sense of humour welcomed.

Essential Attributes:
Minimum of 2 years experience
Minimum Certificate IV or equivalent
Professional and positive demeanour
Good communication skills with clients and staff
Ability to work efficiently with initiative, motivated and take pride in work
Exceptional organizational skills
Extensive knowledge and understanding of vet nurse procedures and anaesthetic monitoring

An exciting opportunity in a recently established privately owned small animal clinic has become available. We are growing rapidly and we need a vet to join our fabulous team.
We are seeking a motivated, compassionate vet who is enthusiastic and passionate about high quality clinical work. Being client-focused and dedicated to providing positive outcomes. We strive to provide a collaborative, supportive workplace with genuine clinical freedom. Brilliant mentoring and support is provided.
An interest in medicine and reproduction would be beneficial but not a must.
All new equipment throughout the clinic, with state of the art digital x-ray machine, ultrasound, endoscope and full Idexx diagnostic machines.
We work closely and have good relationships with specialists who visit the clinic on a regular basis.
The clinic is based in beautiful Bendigo in central Victoria. The clinic has an excellent location conveniently near the center of town. Bendigo offers so much and is only a short drive to Melbourne.

We are all doing our best and try to help, we all don't deserve to be abused for being there for clients. It is becoming increasingly common and if clients do this they will be turned away and not serviced by our clinic. It's not fair on our staff.

Remember being kind and patient is free.

World wide vet shortage, a pandemic, numerous of lockdowns, an increase number of pet ownership, flu season and many other stresses the past two years have seen an alarming increase in abuse, burnout & fatigue in the veterinary industry.

This does not excuse poor behaviour, rudeness or disrespect.

Please remember our team and everyone in the vet industry are working harder than ever, longer than ever and under more stress than ever.

We understand that in many situations, you are presenting to our hospital because you are worried about your pet and they may be seriously sick or injured but this doesn't excuse treating our staff with anything but respect.

Everyone works in this industry because we love animals and want to help as much as we can, but working for free unfortunately doesn't pay our bills and it certainly doesn't replace the time we lose with our families and friends or the sleep we lose.

We are all overworked, understaffed and trying to provide everyone with the best service to help make sure your animals are getting the gold standard of care.

We have had staff verbally abused and threatened numerous times to the point of calling the police as we have been worried for our safety, this is not something anyone should have to endure when at their place of work. Mass numbers of vets and nurses are even leaving the industry due to the stresses.

So next time you take your pet to a vet clinic whether for a general check up, after hours emergency or any reason, please remember to show the staff with respect and kindness and take a moment to thank them for being there when you are in need.

Unfortunately we have to downscale this coming week at the clinic due to our one and only vet contracting COVID. We will be back to normal on Monday 18th July. Sorry for the inconvenience.
