4 x Support Workers or Nursing Assistants

2 x Senior SIL Team Leaders/House Managers

Vacancy:

Seeking support workers to work in a team, preferably aged 30-45, to join a team to support a 40 year old Epileptic Male with Ring 20 Chromesome Disorder living in a SIL Setting.

Location: Paradise Point, Gold Coast

Job description/Shift details:

1. Shifts 24/7 care SIL house, shifts are 6-8 hours long each with active sleep overs.

2. Shifts are 7am-1pm, 1pm-7pm, 7pm-12am, 12am-7am. Monday to Sunday ( flexible)

3. All shifts are currently available. Buddy/ Shadow shifts will be provided.

4. Shifts are for Personal Care, House Cleaning, Meal prep and Cooking, Community Access so you will be required to take the participant out for walks, activities, manage his house under team leaders and RN etc

5. Shifts require you to perform Personal Care, he will require full assistance for showering, grooming, full hygiene support, toileting assistance and incontinence pads changing etc.
Cooking fresh meals, strictly following meal plans, PEG feeding and other complex care activities.

You will be working under Registered Nurses.

You must have all verifications/requirements i.e.

6. 2-3 years of experience in management of Epilepsy, Epilepsy medication knowledge, experience in SIL house environment/or as house team leader/manager role

7. You MUST have minimum 2-3 years work experience with Epilepsy Patients and strong knowledge of Epilepsy Management and Care.

8. You MUST have knowledge of Seizure Management and PEG feeding/Gastronomy.

9. You MUST follow strict care plans.

10. Must have Australian Driver's License with your own car and comprehensive car insurance.

11. CPR Certificate
12. First Aid Certificate
13. National Police Check.
14. NDIS Worker Screening Check/Yellow Card
15. Working rights in Australia, minimum 2 year visa stay will be accepted not less (for stability of supports for the participant)

16. Minimum certificate lll in Disability, Individual Support, Mental health.

17. Must speak clear English

18. Must be available to do 2/3 shifts per week minimum.

Support worker must be firm in their nature of work, reliable, responsible, good written and oral communication skills , no heavy accents, must be pro active and punctual to work.

MUST HAVE EPILEPSY and SIL EXPERIENCE OR YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Pay: Dependent on qualifications and experience.

7. Must have high complex experience
