Naomi Williams (USA) and Lachlan Lewer (AUS) deliver a choreographically exciting and technically complex performance to "Joli Garcon" by Pink Martini in the Junior Pairs Short Program at the 2024 ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships from Taipei City, TPE.

The team earned a personal best score of 55.37 points for their routine, and are currently in first place with three groups to go.

🎤 Introducing BFISC’s very own Darian Kaptich! 👏 Darian is considered Australia’s premier male figure skater, after recently taking out the Senior Men’s title at the Australian Figure Skating Championships, for the second consecutive year! 🥇🥇 And now, you have the opportunity to witness his incredible skills at BFISC’s ice spectacular this Saturday! 🙌 Prepare to have your mind blown as Darian takes to the ice and delivers a performance that will leave you speechless! 🤩 We asked Darian to answer a few questions about his journey to where he is now, and play a game of This or That with us!

Q - Tell us about your ice skating background
A - I started skating when I was 6 and I’ve always loved this sport as it makes me feel unstoppable

Q - What’s something you’re proud of?
A - I’m proud of al the things I’ve skating has helped me accomplish in life.

Q -Tell us something that most people don’t know about skating.
A - That professional skaters fall a lot and it’s a lot harder than it seems, but you just keep on going regardless.

Q - Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
A - Hopefully an Olympian by then!

Q - What do you like to do when you’re not on the ice?
A - Hang out with friends, watch movies, and play games

Q - What advice do you have for anyone who wants to start ice skating?
A - Even if it feels impossible keep trying because you’ll get it one day!

👀 Behind the scenes, there is an exciting buzz of activity as our volunteer artists are hard at work, designing and painting the set backdrops for Broadway Wonders on Ice 🎨. It’s a work in progress, but when it’s finished it will transport the audience to a different time and place!✨ A huge thank you to for your generous donation of paint, and to the art crew for your incredible efforts 🫶 We can’t wait to see these when they’re finished! 👏

🎤 Welcome to the spotlight, Emily-Jean Kelly! 👏 Back for yet another year, Emily-Jean has performed in every BFISC Ice Spectacular so far! 🙌 Emily-Jean has been skating for 15 years, and is a competitive figure skater with international competition experience 🤩. She recently achieved 1st place in the Senior Women’s category of the 2023 Queensland Figure Skating Championships here in Brisbane 🥇. She’s off to the National Championships in Sydney next week, and we wish her all the best! 🫶 Emily-Jean is well known for her epic Russian Split Jump – keep an eye out for it in the show...it’ll blow you away! 🤯 We asked Emily-Jean to answer a few questions about her journey to where she is now, and play a game of This or That with us! 🫶
