Summary and highlights of HOTB 2023 🚣‍♂️:

Summary 🕖:

Racing starts at 7:00 am ⏰.
- The Start and Finish lines are between the Toowong Rowing Club and BBC School pontoons 🏁.
- The start is a rolling start with 10 seconds between the crews ⏳.
- The U-turn is opposite the corner near 'The Paringa Place' ↩️.

HOTB Highlights 🌟:

Prizes 🏆:
- Hutchinson Cup and $500 prize money, along with Gold medal(s) 🥇, awarded for the overall winning crew based on prognostics 🎉.
- Silver medal(s) 🥈 and $300 prize money for the second fastest overall crew based on prognostics 🥈.
- Bronze medal(s) 🥉 and $200 prize money for the third fastest overall crew based on prognostics 🥉.
- Gold medal(s) 🥇 will be awarded to the winner of each boat category with more than one entry 🚤.
- All Entries into the event will go into the draw to win 1 of 5 Spot Prizes of $200 💰.
- Medal Ceremony 🏅, Spot Prize 🎁, and Raffle draw 🎟️ will be presented an hour after the racing ends (11.30am – 12.30pm) 🕧.

Our Story

Toowong Rowing Clubs hosts the Head of the Brisbane regatta annually on the third Saturday of October.

The course is a 9.5 km out and back course that starts and finishes at Toowong Rowing Club, with a turnaround point near the start of the St Lucia golf course.

The event is open to Schools, Elites, and Masters across all boat categories.
