Introducing #071 – Koda
There are just not enough wonderful words to describe our calm and gentle Koda.
He is a Great Dane x – we suspect 2-3 years old.
Despite bearing many scars from a previous life, he is quite simply a Gentleman.
Such a good boy, so respectful and polite.
He isn’t quite catching onto what “sit” means but will try a variety of moves in the vain hope he will please you.
Training will be ongoing, but he is gentle on the lead and is happy just to be by your side.
He is already Toilet trained - only had 2 accidents inside and both were when he was inside for an extended period
Even though he doesn’t sit, he does stand and wait patiently for his food, no jumping up etc.
The biggest sook loves a cuddle and loves being close to people, he always just follows you around we haven’t heard him bark once!
Completely unphased by cats and dog friendly.
He will happily lay down and relax or play with them, a placid boy he is happy to take the other dogs lead.
Koda is fine being left home alone.
He is also great in a crate, open the door for him at night and he will walk himself into bed.
Very calm and good in a bath – he seems to like the calming sensation (bless him)
Honestly, we really can’t say a bad thing about him, he is just the biggest sweetheart.
Koda is in foster care at Crestmead and his adoption fee is $595.
He will come desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm cleared and up to date with his flea and worm treatments.
If you would like to come and meet this gorgeous boy, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the amazing life he could share with you.
It’s time for you all to meet another Jellybean – Woohoo
Introducing The adorable Theo
Psst - Foster mumma isn't allowed to have favourites - but if she did you know who it would be :-)
Theo is the biggest baby of the litter physically and emotionally.
Of all the pups, Theo is the one that so needs his special person.
This little treasure is the only one of the litter who at 7 weeks old will drag his baby body upstairs to find foster momma for a cuddle.
He has a smile that lights up the room - he just needs a special someone to see it.
Momma Jessie arrived from a Deathrow pound pregnant and gave birth in foster care.
She is one of the calmest most affectionate dogs we have had the pleasure to meet.
No more than a baby herself, she is maybe 20 kg and a pretty, slightly built mixed-breed girl.
Dad – hmm – unknown pl***oy type – strong muscular build – Probably brown and white in colour – kisses and runs.
These pups are good sized babies and we would expect them to be maybe 25 – 28kg adults so please keep that in mind.
But as we know with rescue, we just never can tell.
Size aside, they are well balanced, happy, bouncy, affectionate, and playful pups.
They will be a great fit for so many families.
But as with all little pups, they will need attention, time, and training as they grow.
If you are looking for a little chunk of love to complete your family and would like to meet Theo or any other of the jellybeans, please send us a message telling us all about yourself and the amazing life you could offer any of them.
Please be sure to PM us - we do not see comments on shared posts so comments will be missed.
Theo is in foster care at Stafford Heights – Brisbane and will be ready to leave the nest this weekend.
He is vaccinated to date, microchipped, and up-to-date with his flea and worm treatments.
The adoption fee of $625 includes desexing at one of our partner vets when he is 6 months old – please be aware it is a condition of adoption that these pups are desexed at 6 months old to stop the cycle.
Future vaccinations are the responsibility of his adoptive family.
We do have a wonderful offer of 4 free puppy school training sessions at a local vet in North Brisbane for these pups.
** MEETS PENDING - ON HOLD ***
Oh, we can feel a million hearts melting tonight (and his foster mums heart breaking a little) because it is time for you to meet the new and improved #056 – the gorgeous Benson
Benson is just the sweetest boy – he is about 12 months old and is a medium-sized wolfhound mix
Hi, my name is Benson and my foster family keep telling me I am just the best foster baby they have had so far (and they have had a few).
I am a calm and gentle boy who gets along well with both the doggies I am living with.
I couldn't believe my luck when even the resident cat warmed up to me on the second day – the more friends the better as far as I am concerned.
I walk wonderfully on my lead, and I am very well-behaved.
Car rides are fun, and I love to go on trips with my foster mum, we do the school run and everyone loves me there.
And something else, do you know, I have not had one accident inside since I arrived?
Being a Wolfie mix, I love my food and I am still learning my manners at dinner time.
I am a very fast learner and have almost nailed shake, sit, wait, lay down, bed and toilet – all in a week!
And guess what I smile
I have got the cheekiest cute grin you've ever seen.
I sleep on my bed through the night, but I will never say no to a cuddle on the couch.
Yes, cuddles are essential to bringing out that cheeky smile everyone loves.
Benson is in foster care at Nambour and his adoption fee is $650
He is desexed, heartworm tested, microchipped, vaccinated to date, and flea / worm treated.
If you think you could be the perfect home Benson is looking for, please send us a detailed message telling us all about it !
Please make it good enough to break foster momma Rebeccas' heart – he is her favourite boy after all x
It’s time for you all to meet another Jellybean – Woohoo
Introducing sweet little Saffron.
Saffron is one of the quieter pus, she will sit back and watch the madness unfold around her.
A sensitive little soul she is such an easy baby to love.
She is the most slender of the pups – very much her mommas girl.

Saffron is in foster care at St Lucia – Brisbane and will be ready to leave the nest this weekend.
She is vaccinated to date, microchipped, and up-to-date with her flea and worm treatments.
The adoption fee of $625 includes desexing at one of our partner vets when she is 6 months old – please be aware it is a condition of adoption that these pups are desexed at 6 months old to stop the cycle.

We do have a wonderful offer of 4 free puppy school training sessions at a local vet in North Brisbane for these pups.
*** ADOPTION PENDING ****
Let’s Meet Little Rosie
Rosie was the lone pup that hitched a last-minute ride on Stars transport.
She is a tiny tot just now but as with all rescues we really cannot say how big she will get.
She is small for an 8 week old pup and we do think she [probably has some staffy in her – that’s all we have got!
She may be tiny, but she is not a shrinking violet.
In foster mums' words –“I swear this girl has the heart of a lion and the diva demands of a Bichon Frise - she’s a Sass Queen!
Super cute and playful, she definitely thinks she is a lap dog.
Her favourite place to sleep is cuddle up with the resident Schnauzer Walter or foster
She’s doing really well with the crate training, and she goes there now looking for food.
She settles quickly in her crate - she does cry dramatically but it’s for less than a minute then she lies down and goes to sleep.
Once settled she is only waking once in the night and that’s for a toilet break.
Rosie is super playful and absolutely loves zoomies with another dog, she could do them for hours.
She loves to explore, she’s very inquisitive and will definitely need a secure back yard.
She also loves little quiet places, if you cannot find her, she is likely fast asleep in her open crate or the back of the closet.
She is a baby and is a toe and pyjama leg biter, but she does respond well to a firm no and will stop.
Rosie is a people dog and loves kids but be aware the puppy teeth are sharp, and toddlers’ toes are probably not ideal.
She is in care with a cat who she is not too interested in.
Rosie absolutely loves praise; her little tail is one of the waggiest we have seen
She’s progressing with potty training, put her on the grass and she will almost always do a wee, the rest is a work in progress sorry.
She loves toys, chewy ones and cuddly ones so lots of those are in ger puppy wish list.
Rosie is a good eater but she’s not food obsessed, if she’s not super hungry she will have a nibble in her crate, leave and then let you know when she wants to go back in.
She’s a bit of a sook, she loves people but is also happy with a bit of alone time loving to play on the grass in the sunshine.
Rosie is in foster care at Thornlands and her adoption fee (which includes desex at one of our partner vets when she is 6 months old) is $625.
She is microchipped, flea and worm treated and vaccinated to date - any future vaccinations are the responsibility of her adopter.
If you think you could be the family Rosie is looking for, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the amazing life you could share with her.

❣️
Casper has spent a long time in care waiting for his forever home.
Let's join together and share like crazy to get this gorgeous boy "home".
He has waited longer than any other dog and it is a mystery to us that he has had zero interest.
Some dogs we understand struggle for various reasons but not Casper – this boy iss an absolute delight.
His extended time in care has not been time wasted – every day he has learned something new and is now truly his best self.
Casper is about 2 years old and is believed to be a wolfhound/mastiff mix.
Not as big as his breed mix might suggest he is however is a chunky little monkey but goodness he is a whole hunk of love and devotion.
Caspers previous life was as a “Street” dog in a remote community in NSW.
Before coming into rescue he had never experienced a home or a family of his own, and whilst he had lots to learn about life in the suburbs, he could teach anyone lots about friendliness, loyalty, and appreciation.
He really is such a happy boy, Casper always has a smile on his face.
He is friendly and sociable, and very much enjoys meeting new people and other dogs.
Coming from a previous life as a community dog, Casper is now loving and thriving in a family environment.
There is nothing Casper adores more than being with his people.
He still has a puppy playfulness about him, and loves children (although he may not suit a household with very small children as he may inadvertently knock them over while playing).
Casper wants to be involved in whatever is happening, but he settles quickly and is happy to lie quietly next to his people through the day.
Household life is still new to Casper, but he’s a smart boy, is eager to please, and takes direction very well.
He is now toilet trained, happily sleeps in a crate at night, and knows basic commands.
With help from his new halti, Casper now walks well on a lead, and is learning that we don’t have to stop and greet every single person or dog we pass along the way.
He is a bit of lazy bones overall so isn’t going to put you under pressure to go hiking or on long rambles.
Because of his high sociability, Casper may try to follow his people when they leave the house, so good 6ft fences are needed and/or an outdoor enclosure for these times.
His current carer has a basic boundary collar and it has worked instantly – he decided it was all too much bother going anywhere and decided to take a snooze instead.
He really would love a household that has someone home a lot of the time or has another dog for companionship (not cats or pocket pets).
If you are looking for a happy, loving, devoted member of the family, Casper is the dog for you.
Casper is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with his flea and worm treatments.
He is in foster care at The Gap ( North Brisbane) and his adoption fee is $595.
If you would like to meet Casper, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the amazing life he could share with you.
Staying with the Happy Puppy Vibes ..let's have a sneaky peek at our 2 newest arrivals.
These baby girls are about 3 months old.
They are not adoption ready yet so no enquiries please ..you know here will be the first place we will share updates.
Welcome to the village Hannah and Jenna ❣️

Parvo woes aside , let's take a moment to celebrate the good times.

We are really hoping we get to meet some great potential homes for these babies.
Check out our Event link for details.
Wish us Luck 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
The worst news we can bring ..and we are bringing it 💔
Parvo crept into Stars Mission and has taken a grip on our puppies
Last night we lost 2 baby girls ..the weakest of the litter.
The remaining 5 pups are a ticking time bomb ..so we wait and we pray .. together.
We are again in awe of our amazing carers who are hoping for the best - but know to expect the worst.
Parvo does not go quietly.
RIP Yara and Patty ..someone is waiting for you.
Second star to the right .. 😭
Sorted ..thank you to the wonderful Belinda Moresby-white ..we cannot wait to see him looking his best soon ❤️
Groomer Help Needed - Sunshine Coast 🥰
We have just brought this gorgeous boy into care.
He is really rather matted, and his coat is in need of some TLC.
He is heading up to Caloundra today with his carer ,and we wondered if maybe someone that way would be able to help us out with a "little" tidy up.
He is not really as big as he looks (16.7kg according to the vet scales) and is a mix of Standard Poodle / Husky and German Shepherd!
If you are able to help a messy mutt out - please send us a PM.
All others please note - he is new to care and not adoption ready ❤️
Foster carer needed for Obi 🙏
Obi (previously #055) arrived from a Deathrow pound on Stars Mission transport last weekend.
He is a really lovely boy but a too little bouncy for his carers tiny tots.
He is still only a pup at about 10 months old and is registered as a lab x
Obi would love a foster home with another friendly playful dog or older children.
If you are located in the Brisbane / Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast areas and can help by fostering Obi, please follow the link below 💕

Oh and please give this post a share 🫶
Rescue isn’t always easy but it’s so worth it when you see photos like this🥰 pictured is little Zoey enjoying a meal with her foster mama💕Originally estimated to be 6 weeks old, she joined the village at the mere age of 4 weeks with her sister miss Business. Both girls are making leaps and bounds with their health and development and their personalities are already starting to shine through. We can’t wait to introduce them to you all a bit more of the upcoming weeks
Introducing #077
His name is Fudge.
This boy is probably the quietest, sweetest, most laid-back cattle dog we have ever met.
Described by foster mum Angela as "an absolute blessing" we do suspect he may be a more mature boy than first thought, but the vet will confirm today.
We are beyond delighted to have him in our village - form an orderly queue adopters 😉
#071
His name is now Koda
This Great Dane x was the surprise of the Mission.
He had quietly hidden himself away in the sea of faces we shared over the last 2 weeks.
And true to form he sat as quiet as a mouse watching all the others get of transport.
The last one to put his paws on Village soil and he did so with such grace and dignity.
He is battered up with scars and sores all over him, but he is the gentlest, sweetest and most respectful boy we have met in a long time.
Koda has made no fuss around dogs and cats and is just such a beautiful soul.
This boy is an absolute Diamond, and we cannot thank Kira and Eddie enough for taking a chance and stepping up to foster a bigger breed
Welcome to the village Koda - we are beyond delighted to have you here ❤️
We are having a "Meet Your Jellybean" Day. 🥰
At this stage, only Baxter Jellybean is adoption pending, which means there are still 8 delicious bean babies available.
We have had a couple of cancelled meets, so have decided to change things up a little and invite any potential adopters to come along this Saturday 2nd November to meet them all.
The location is Stafford (North Brisbane) and the the time is 9am - 12 lunchtime.
If you are genuinely looking to add a larger breed pup to your family - then this is the place you need to be.
Momma Jessie is an absolute sweetheart, and all her pups are happy, healthy and confident pups.
The pups will be 7 weeks old this weekend and will be ready to leave care at 8 weeks.
This is not a same-day adoption process.
They are microchipped and have had their first puppy vaccination.
Their adoption fee is $625 and includes desexing at one of our partner vets when they are 6 months old.
Future vaccinations are the responsibility of their forever family.
If you would like to come along to meet these gorgeous babies, please send us a message telling us a little about yourself and the home you can offer a Jellybean and we will get you booked in.
Be there or be square - there are only 8 jellybeans - don't miss out
