Ada Park
Beautiful one hectare parkland at the entrance to Brisbane's Mt Coot-tha Forest. Saved from evil de Ada Park is Crown parkland owned by the State Government.
Ada Park is situated at the start of Tourist Drive 7, in the leafy foothills of Mt Coot-tha. It is bounded by Mt Coot-tha Road, Richer Street and Ada Street. Its namesake, Ada Wilson-Harding, was part of the rich social history of the Toowong area. Open, grassed areas framed with tall gumtrees are just the place for a quiet walk, kicking a ball with the kids, or enjoying a picnic.
And in the second , yes, that is Airforce One as seen from Ada Park.
Seriously, we could do this. Quietly. In a few weekends.
Hey Mountain Folk! You guys could totally do this. Go on! TYRE ME!

How the kids of Melbourne fought for their playgrounds In 1870 forty-two per cent of the population of Melbourne was under fourteen years old. Without playgrounds or organised sports they took to the streets, smashing trams and tearing down trees in public parks. Historian Simon Sleight charts this forgotten history of youth turmoil in a new book about…
