An emotion can mean something completely different from one moment to the next, depending on the story our minds attach to it.

This is why if you have ever had a kinesiology session with me l’ll never say this emotion means... instead you’ll hear me say what does it mean for you when I say... or what does... mean to you? The story to which our minds have placed on that emotion is important.
Not all emotions need to be softened or diffused in the system sometimes an emotion comes up as it’s how the client is wanting to feel or what the body is wanting to infuse into the clients life..

I absolutely love working with emotions! Deep, powerful and so insightful. ✨

Let’s talk burnout!!

Latley in clinic I have been noticing a massive collective theme of clients headed to burnout if not already there..

What l’m hearing is that these people are doing all of the things, playing all of the roles, putting everyone first. I keep hearing, l’ve always done this tho, nothing has changed in my life so why am I feeling like this now?
I plan on doing a post up about our window of tolerance soon to explain this in more detail but essentially our bodies can hold a certain level of stress for so long but pretty soon all of the “things” that we do catch up with us because it’s not sustainable to live a super fast paced life and have no time for rest or joy.

Kinesiology is an incredible tool to use to support yourself through these times by working with you on a deeper level, but there are also simple tools you can implement into your daily life to help support you aswell.

There is a saying that I love and it says: Everything is important until you get sick and then you realise the only important thing is your health..

So why do we wait until complete burnout to make a change?

You may know your love language but do you know your stress language?

Quite often when we find ourselves triggered our bodies tend to respond unconsciously from the stress response state. This may look like any of the above response systems.

If you are notice that you are operating from any of these states you can begin to soften into your body, show yourself some compassion as your body is only recognising a similar pattern so it tends to go into survival mode to protect you from a potential threat..

If you find yourself experiencing anxiety, anger, irritability, defensiveness or wanting to escape try moving your body, help your body discharge some of that energy.

If you find yourself in freeze, feeling stuck or overwhelm try giving yourself space and allowing your body to rest.

Supporting the body doesn’t have to be a massive elaborate thing, most of the time it’s the small moments of understanding and space that if we can gift to the body has the biggest impact.

Often we don’t see our niggling pains, mood swings, chronic overthinking as a cue that there is something going on deeper within the body.

Our bodys speak to us in subtle ways first, and when we ignore the subtle whispers it tends to start to scream and this can be the body’s only way to really get our attention.

When we can begin to learn the language of our body, we can better discern when the small cues arise and notice that there is something that needs addressing.
In these whispers we cultivate a level of connection with our body where we can see our body as an ally rather than something that is broken that needs fixing

In this post there is a few of the common signs and symptoms to take notice of that may be a sign that there is disharmony within our being and there could be something deeper that needs addressing

So consider practicing tuning into your body and listening for the whispers that might emerge from day to day.

Our incredible bodies hold so much wisdom within , they are speaking to us all the time if we take the time to tune in and listen.

I adore the EMK Modality so much because it really allows us to go deep to uncover the root cause of your physical pain and discomforts. By addressing and clearing the patterns, emotions and behaviours associated with our physical ailments the body is able to completely heal itself.

Ever wondered why your pain comes back?

Have you ever been to your chiropractor who has done an adjustment and you have left feeling great but unfortunately only lasted a few days before the stiffness crept back in?

Have you ever had a massage where you walk out feeling completely amazing and totally relaxed, but within the week you feel like you never even got that massage? Most times an adjustment alone is not enough to sustain what is happening for you on a physical level.

The reason why this happens is because our bodies hold onto emotions from past experiences. Often we haven’t made the connection between our emotions and the distruption that they have on our bodies. There is always something more that contributes to our pain than just a bad back from standing on your feet all day.

The reason why our back may hurt in the first place is because there is a weakness in that area to begin with, so when the body is disregulated to the point that something has to give, where does it give? The weakest point on the body at that specific time.

Understanding the link between emotions and pain is crucial for healing and pain management. Kinesiology helps us navigate through this and helps us to become aware and make that connection between what is happening physically in our bodies to what is happening emotionally.

Most people struggle to manage and overcome their physical pain because they don’t recognise the deep connection between their emotional and physical well-being.

Kinesiology is the link that connects the physical and emotional together, once you become aware and process the emotional, the pain will dissolve itself.

The Stomach Meridian - Sea of Nourishment

The Stomach Meridian is housed by the earth element and is deeply connected to the Spleen meridian.
The stomach is responsible for our digestion.

In kinesiology we work closely with the emotions connected to the meridians, this means that underlying emotional states can have a huge impact on how well our meridians and organs function.
The Stomach relates to feeling grounded, nourishment, protection, fulfilment and it is our emotional centre.

When there is an imbalance in the Stomach Meridian is can manifest as

• Abdominal pain
• Nausea
• Slow sluggish digestion
• TMJ problems
• Bitterness
• Insecurity
• Self doubt
• Sense of despair
• Lacking independence
• Easily bothered by things

The Stomachs peak time of day is between 7am - 9am each day, you may experience the Stomachs emotions of emptiness and satisfaction more deeply between these hours.

You can support your Stomach Meridian at home by:

• Working with essential oils like Aniseed and Ginger
• Crystals such as Amber and aquamarine
• Avoid drinking very cold water
• Eating yellow/ orange foods
• Incorporate root vegetables into your diet
• Eat slowly and mindfully
• Supine stretches

You can also work with affirmations to support the stomachs energy such as

“ I feel safe, protected, clear, content and in charge of my life”

Who are you carrying on your hips?
The hips can relate to a number of things such as
Family problems and disagreements, Feeling used, unappreciated, angry, betrayed, deceived, let down, shot down, alienated.

Our hips also hold our beliefs, creativity, flow fluidity and flexibility.

WHY IS KINESIOLOGY THE MISSING LINK IN YOUR HEALING?

What makes kinesiology unique to any other modalities is that we use muscle testing.
Muscle testing is a biofeedback mechanism that allows the kinesiologist to tap into the clients subconscious mind..

Why is this the missing link? Muscle testing takes the guesswork out of what you need to support you in your healing, we bypass the conscious mind and tap straight into what the body is holding onto. The body remembers every experience that has ever happened to you even if you don’t consciously remember.
And why is this so important in healing? For example we can go to a chiropractor every week for a sore neck and it never gets better.. why? Because there’s something below that physical pain, it goes beyond the physical body and until we get to the root cause of that sore neck it will continue to be a reoccurring issue.
Your body gives us its own unique roadmap to your own experiences and healing.

As Kinesiologists we talk a lot about our body’s innate wisdom… so what is this?

It refers to our bodies innate intelligence system, our bodies are constantly working in this incredible innate way to keep the blood pumping through our veins, the air entering and exiting through our lungs. Our bodies are always working to keep us alive.

This innate system is constantly communicating to us on what our body needs to keep us in balance.
This can be felt though signs, symptoms and sensations in the body.

Think about everytime you get a gut feeling, a knowing, a pain in your body, a runny nose, tightness in your chest, Allergies, Fatigue.. these are all ways your body is communicating with you that something is out of balance, we can all tap into this wisdom by slowing down and paying attention to what signs the body is giving us.

Our bodies are designed to heal, regenerate completely and be whole. It knows what it needs and can heal itself.

Just take a minute and think about how intelligent and capable the body really is…. Pretty powerful!!
