TSB Palaka Balapam is honoured to collaborate with BhagavadGita Foundation to organise the "BhagvadGita Prachaara Sankhaaraavam" in association with other local Telugu organisations (Telugu Lahari, Telugu Samskruthi Brisbane, Telugu Association of Gold Coast, Shirdi Sai Sansthan Brisbane, Telangana Association of Queensland and Queensland Telugu Association).

BrahmaSri Dr.L.V.Gangadhara Sastry garu is a very well known person to many of the Indian / Telugu community members. He is the founder of BhagavadGita Foundation (https://youtu.be/Gavn9qRfqDg?si=prjScpdX6xBfoFwy) in Hyderabad, India and has been conducting number of dharmik events through the foundation.

Sastry garu is touring Australia from 20th March to 10th April, 2024 and visits Brisbane from 31st March to 4th April. We are honoured to host Sastry garu and present this spiritual and inspirational discourse for the benefit of our community members.

QTA cordially invites all members of the community to attend this gracious occasion and make the most out of it. The event is on Sunday, 31st March 2024 at Strathpine Community Centre, starting from 4:00 PM. Mahaprasadam will be served at the end of the discourse and the event ends by 8:00 PM. Please mark your calendars.

Palaka Balapam telugu teaching classes for the 2024 academic year are now open. Classes are conducted during regular school terms starting from 3rd Feb 2024.

We are excited to announce a new location from this academic year. Please see the details below.

Location 1:
Mt Ommaney Library - every Saturday from 2.00pm - 4.45pm.

Location 2:
Coopers Plains Library - every Sunday, from 9.30am - 11.30am.

We are looking for Teacher volunteers who could assist children learning Telugu language.

TSB Palaka Balapam is seeking help from the Telugu speaking parents of Brisbane and surrounding areas to finalise a new location for our Community Language School (CLS).

You may be aware that we are conducting Telugu classes from Mt Ommaney centre from 2023 after our original location was closed due to unavailability of the classrooms.

While we continue conducting classes from Mt Ommaney, the two available options for new (additional) location are
(1) Sunday Mornings (9:30 AM to 11:30 AM) - Coopers Plains Library
(2) Thursday Evenings - (4:30 PM to 6:30 PM) - Mt Gravatt Library

Appreciate your reply to this message with the preferred option (1 or 2). Although we understand it is difficult to accommodate preferred location, I am sure your assistance would help some more children to learn our mother tongue at another convenient location and time.

Keep an eye out for some more exciting news, as we progress through 2024 with this additional location.

దసరా పండుగను గిలకల పండగంటారు చక్కగా కొత్త దుస్తులు ధరించి వెదురుతో చేసిన విల్లం బులు, ఎక్కుబెట్టిన విల్లు చివరి భాగాన మిఠాయి పొట్లం ఆకారంలో తయారుచేసి దానిలో "బుక్కా" రంగు పొడీ కొందరైతై పువ్వులూ వేసి ఒండొరులు చల్లుకొంటు, ఆడుకొంటూ, పాడుకొంటూ నడిచే దసరా గీతమిది.

పంతుళ్ళు వెనుక నడుస్తుంటే పిల్లలు వరుస ల్లో పాడుతూ ప్రతి వాకిటాఆగి దసరా మామూళ్ళు స్వీకరించే ఆత్మీయమైనఆచార మిది.

ఒక వ్యక్తి అభివృద్ధి గాని
కుటుంబ, సమాజ, ప్రాంత అభివృద్ధి గాని జ్ఞానము తోటే సాధ్యమని, చదువుతోటే వికాసమని భావించిన ఆ గ్రామములోని పెద్దలు గ్రామం లోని బడి బలంగా ఉండడానికి తమ సహాయాన్ని అందించేవారు.

ప్రభుత్వ బడులు లేని ఎన్నో గ్రామాల్లో తమ స్ధలాలను బడి పెట్ట డానికి నిస్వార్ధంగా దానం ఇచ్చేవారు.
వెలుగు తున్న దీపం మరియొక దీపాన్ని వెలిగిస్తుందని నిజాయతీగా నమ్మిన జ్ఞాన మూర్తులు బతక డానికి కాకుండా, బ్రతికించడానికి ఉపాధ్యాయులుగా మారి
ఆ గ్రామంలోని పిల్లలను వెలుగు దివ్వెలుగా మార్చేవారు.
దసరా పండుగ సందర్భంగా ఆ సంవత్సర కాలంలో తాము విద్యార్ధులకు నేర్పిన పద్యాలు, శ్లోకాలు, గణిత సమస్యలు, పొడుపు కధలు మొదలైనవి గ్రామంలోని పెద్దల అందరి ఎదుట దసరా సెలవులలో కుమార జ్ఞాన ప్రదర్శన కావించేవారు.

పిల్లల వయస్సు, తరగతిని బట్టి వివిధ కళలను పిల్లకు నేర్పి తమను పోషిస్తున్న పెద్దలతో చెప్పి మెప్పించి పెద్దలు ఆనందంగా ఇచ్చే కానుకలను పొందేవారు.
ఇదే కదా నిజమైన పరీక్ష ఉపాధ్యాయులకు
విద్యార్ధులకు
ఎంత గొప్ప ఆంతర్యమో ఆనాటి దసరా పాటల్లో.
దేవతా వేషధారులై ఆ చిన్నారులు ఘనమైన పద్యాలు చదువుతూ ఆశ్శీస్సులు అందిస్తే ముగ్దులైన ఆ ఊరి పెద్దలు ఆ బడి ఇంకా ఇంకా ఎదగాలని తమ ధనాన్ని దసరా కానుకగా అందించేవారు.
ఆనాటి పిల్లలు అర్జునునిలా జీవన కురుక్షేత్రంలో విజయులే.

అలాంటి ఉపాధ్యాయులు ద్రోణాచార్యులు.
ఈ సంప్రదాయం పాటించే అవసరం ఇప్పుడు లేదనుకోండి. దాంతోపాటే ఈ పాటా మూలపడిపోయింది...

ఈ సంవత్సరం Telugu School of Brisbane, పలక బలపం విద్యార్థిని విద్యార్థులతో జరుపుకోవడం చాలా ఉత్సాహంగా ఉంది.
మా ఉత్సాహాన్ని మీతో పంచుకోవాలని, ప్రతి రోజూ ఒక విద్యార్థిని మీకు పరిచయం చేస్తున్నాము. వారిని ప్రోత్సహిస్తారని ఆశిస్తున్నాము.

మన తెలుగు భాష గొప్పదనం ముందుగా అక్షరమాల అల్లికలోనే ఉంది.
పూర్వం గురువులు పిల్లలతో వర్ణమాలను వల్లె వేయించేవారు. అలా కంఠస్ధం చేయించడంవల్ల కంఠం నుంచి ముఖం వరకు వ్యాయామం తెలియకుండానే జరుగుతుంది

తెలుగు భాషను అందంగా వ్రాసే వారికి చిత్రకళ సొంతమవుతుందంట ఎందుకంటే మన వర్ణమాలతో అన్ని మెలికలు ఉన్నాయి.

మనలోని భావాన్ని మాతృభాషలో వర్ణించినంత వివరంగా ఏ భాషలోను వ్రాయలేరు. తెలుగువారింటి ముంగిట ముగ్గును చూస్తే ఎంత ఆహ్లదభరితంగా చూడముచ్చటగా ఉంటుందో తెలుగువారి మనస్సు అంత అందంగా ఉంటుంది.
