We're thrilled to unveil our FULL FESTIVAL MENU! 🌟 Packed with the diversity and attention to detail we have strived to achieve year after year—from the psytrance/electronic origins of Sprout Festival to the multi-genre approach of Coalescence. Rootbound has strived to deliver a smorgasbord of sounds and learning opportunities. And we might be a bit biased, but we think this program is our best one yet! 🌟

We're super stoked to bring Josh Teed down under for his first-ever international tour and to have Brisbane's high-energy brass ensemble Bullhorn at Rootbound for the first time! Plus, we're welcoming back Rootbound and Sprout legacy favourites Sensient and Terrafractyl alongside a lineup of absolute legends and masters of their craft! 🎶🔥

Our festival also features the newly named knowledge nest where you can learn about key environmental and social issues, immerse your self in spaces of play and movement, native revegetation on the Nywaigi wetlands, some connecting family time.... really the list goes on! 🌿✨ Set your schedules for the weekend and get ready for an unforgettable experience! 📅

Thank you all so much for coming on this journey with us. Being on-site this week has been bittersweet—seeing the community come together for our last edition has been humbling and emotional.

We know we won't be doing this next year, but this process has taught us that the space we're creating brings immense value to our lives and the wider community. We are forever grateful for the love and support we've received over the years, making our dreams of Sprout and Coalescence a reality. ❤️🌿

Rest assured, this week has confirmed that making this the last Rootbound was the right decision. Our core management team needs a break to reassess priorities and refresh with some clarity. But when we return, in whatever capacity, we will rebrand with a new name and a renewed purpose, focusing on growth, love, community, acceptance, reconciliation, and, of course, our passion for music and arts! 🌟🎶

Rootbound, in essence, is a plant that has been stunted for growth. Our name was chosen for many reasons, but with the ongoing struggles of festivals over the last few years, the name we feel is quite poetic as we are bringing a close to something that has been "rootbound" since the tough times of 2020 and 2021. Rootbound plants thrive when they are freed from their confined spaces, and we promise to free ourselves and set our roots further into the community we love so much! 🌿❤️

We love you all so much. Thank you for your support! We can't wait to welcome you to Nywaigi Country for the final Rootbound. This one will be special! ❤️🌟

🎵Over 60 DJs will be taking you on a sonic journey throughout the 3days, with everything from sexy house beats to the rhythmic progression of psytrance and lots in between. It’s almost a complete A-Z list of the best local and interstate acts.

🌟As we welcome our friends from OUTRA, Frisson Records, Hive Bookings, Diffuszed Studios, Top of the Morning & Domino FX giving us stage take overs that you’ll have to be here to believe.
