Yamaha MOXF-8. Released 11 years ago, still sounds, and plays beautifully. It's basically a Yamaha Motif XF, but in a plastic case, instead of metal. Has the same engines, sounds, and performances, but was half the price. It's still my favourite feeling 88 note, weighted keybed that I have in my house.

Just because Spotify normalises to -14 LUFS, doesn’t mean you have to! Spotify normalise their loudness output to -14 LUFS integrated. But does this mean we should target that number or any number for that fact?
The term "intrinsic music" is not a commonly used term in music theory or practice, and it is not a well-defined concept in the field of music. However, one possible interpretation of the term is that it refers to music that is valued for its own sake, rather than for any external factors such as cultural or commercial considerations.
Intrinsic music could be seen as music that is appreciated primarily for its aesthetic qualities, such as its melody, harmony, rhythm, timbre, or form. This type of music may not have any particular social or cultural significance, and it may not be tied to any specific historical or geographic context.
It is worth noting, however, that music is a highly subjective and culturally mediated phenomenon, and what one person considers to be "intrinsic music" may not be the same as what someone else considers to be valuable or important about music. Ultimately, the meaning and value of music are shaped by individual and collective perceptions, preferences, and experiences.
I've waited about 40 years for this. 😂 🤣
Looking forward to playing with this on the weekend. It looks amazing. I used to play on a Jupiter 6 in my lunch break sometimes, in the music shop next door to the music shop I worked in, in Wellington. It was pretty new then lol.
The beautiful Roland JD-800. I wanted to buy the original one of these in 1991, but alas, I missed out because I just didn't have the funds then.
It's based on the sounds of the D-50, but updated for the 90s, and with a ton of k***s, and sliders.
The software version sounds almost identical to what I remember, has the same functionality, and more, and comes with all the expansions loaded already.
We are incredibly privileged to have this technology available to us, just a mouse click away.
Another advantage of software, over hardware. FOUR MINIFREAKS!
The beautiful Fantom 7 that I patiently waited over 8 months for delivery.

It doesn't get much more Euro 80s than this 1981-1985 (Elka Synthex) clone, from Cherry Audio. This recreation sounds beautiful. I'd have this, over a Prophet any day.
