On Friday, 24 May, we welcome dear friends . ✨

Poised as Australia’s premier post-genre music and art series, Dots + Loops creates spaces that transcend the barriers that divide genres, art forms and communities.

Kieran Welch () and Kate Miller () come together to celebrate Kieran’s debut single “In Regolith,” featuring a remix from Kate herself.

One a trained classical violist, the other a seasoned DJ, they may appear at first to come from different worlds, but the two share a unique love for bass, IDM, Drum & Bass, techno, and jazz, blending these diverse sounds into immersive and vibrant journeys for their audiences.

Kieran, known for his unique live shows fusing live electronics and viola, founded the concert series Dots+Loops, showcasing his visceral playing style and passion for storytelling through music.

Kate, has spent the last decade exploring different pockets of the dance space both locally and abroad, and is renowned for delivering wide-ranging sets that traverse genres with fluidity. Kate’s magnetic presence & brave selections has earned her regular slots at De School, Panorama Bar & Australia’s cool Room. Kate returns to Magandjin, poised to enthral for her first local set in over a year.

From visceral live viola to irresistible dancefloor grooves, experience an immersive concert-club night like no other. Joining us as a special guest is Claire Litwinowicz (), whose hypnotic live violin loops blur the lines between classical and new music, immersing audiences in hypnotic, beautiful & haunting layers of sound.

As a grassroots & family-operated distillery, our spirits are more than just libations, they’re crafted crafted with care & imbued with the soothing essence of CALM. Marguerite O’Sullivan, the visionary behind , has an innate c***ection to gemstones.

As the granddaughter of a seasoned gold & gemstone prospector, she inherited a profound admiration for these natural treasures. From her earliest days, Marguerite’s been captivated by these natural beauties, amassing a collection that speaks to her deep reverence for nature’s gifts.

In 2021, Marguerite ventured into the realm of artistry, experimenting with gemstones to create pieces that evoke the wonder of Yugen - a sense of awe and mystery. With skills honed at .goldsmiths.school, she founded Yugen Love, a bespoke jewellery brand offering pieces designed to ignite wonder in the wearer.

Beyond her craft, Marguerite is a proud supporter of . Hosting her Disco Fever Fundraiser at Warehouse 25 on Saturday, April 20th, in collaboration with Sally Williams, the woman behind Paddington institution .

At next week’s Mural & Market Day, Marguerite will showcase a curated collection of stunning handmade jewellery from the wonders of the ocean and earth. With only one week to go, the countdown is well & truly ON!

Claudia Thorp, fondly known as is a Meanjin based ceramicist.

Claudia hand crafts her ceramics from her home studio, sculpting both original conceptual artworks and functional pieces.

Eye Fleur has hosted and taken part in numerous exhibitions and events Meanjin wide over the past four years. Hosting her 2nd group exhibition ‘Heat’ on the eve of our Mural & Market Day.

You can look forward to seeing her sculptures and functional pieces such as mugs, candle holders and vases at the W25 Market x Mural day!

For those unfamiliar with their work, Women’s Legal Service Queensland, provides vital legal assistance and support services to women in the areas of domestic and family violence, family law, child protection, and sexual assault. The Disco Fever Fundraiser is dedicated to raising essential funds for , contributing to their mission of empowerment and advocacy for women and their children.

Prepare to journey back in time and groove to great cause, all profits generated from ticket sales & raffle purchases will go directly to . This promises to be an evening filled with 70’s nostalgia and boundless fun!

Karishma Shukla () is an emerging Meanjin based artist.

Drawing on her Fijian Indian roots her artistry is her method of solace. Exploration of self and her cultural heritage play a huge role in her creations.

Karishma draws inspiration aspects from ancient Indian patterns and colours, transporting both herself and her audience to worlds unfamiliar. Inspired by the softness and elegance of the earth, her colour palette evokes a sense of calmness throughout her work.

While she mainly works with canvas, she has been dabbling in the idea that anything can be painted! Karishma will be selling a small selection of prints and original work as well as a variety of upcycled antique ceramics and homewares that need a bit of life and love.

Her objective remains steadfast: to imbue her work with a lasting sense of delight and warmth, that extends well beyond the canvas.

Selina will be showcasing a precious collection of stoneware ceramics alongside a trove of her most beloved paintings immortalised as prints.

We welcome back our beloved friends, the matriarchs of , Frances Edwina Powell & Rhianna Phillips. If you joined us at last year’s market, you experienced firsthand the creative tempest these two embody. It’s with the utmost reverence & delight that we see them return to adorn our stalls with their wares.

Frances ( | Slide 1) is an emerging artist and arts facilitator based in Meanjin. She explores the ideas of the body, relationships, performance and home, primarily working on paper. Frances often references figure drawing, abstract shapes and colour associations within her work. Working from her home studio, she crafts collages and illustrations that explore form and concept. Her practice is often guided by material and process, letting her thoughts percolate as she engages with materials. 

Rhianna ( | Slide 2) is a Meanjin based artist — drawer, photographer and arts facilitator. Her practice explores notions of the figure, trauma, fragmentation and imagination – using photography and drawing to communicate complex experiences and made-up worlds. Rhianna references figure drawing, landscape photography and the archival to invoke nostalgia and awaken the senses. 

Fran & Rhi will be showcasing a stunning array of their beautiful creations, so be sure to arrive early & show your support on Saturday, April 6th, from 12pm to 4pm at Warehouse 25.

Wendy Ma, the creative force behind .ceramics, is driven by a passion for evoking joy and warmth through her ceramic creations, recognising their ability to transform both living spaces and daily rituals.

Drawing from a rich background in design and fashion, Wendy’s known for her vibrant contemporary homewares that often push the boundaries of conventional design, challenging users to embrace new perspectives.

Kaomoji is borrowed from the Japanese art of using symbols to convey emotion. Wendy creates under this moniker as her work evolves with her mood and creative process.

Wendy’s excited to share with you all a limited selection of wheel thrown ceramic serving ware. Swipe through to catch a sneak peak of these lil beauties pre kiln. Each one will be delicately illustrated with personal objects of interest and comfort, designed for you to hold and caress daily. Alice Mikkelsen (aka ) is a Meanjin based printmaker & textile artist who specialises in lino carving. As a cherished member of our Warehouse 25 family, she’s a beacon of creativity, warmth & one of our beautiful bar sweeties.

Alice is inspired by themes of companionship, she draws on her surroundings and her tendency to dwell on them. Through lino carving, she utilises reoccurring motifs and characters, creating a world where the small and mundane moments get a little bit more time to expand.

Alice has spent time recently branching out her practices to include screenprinting, upcycling old clothes, hand printing onto textiles, and knitting.

Join us at our Mural & Market Day, where Alice will be selling her prints, framed works, and a curated selection of clothing pieces, each piece a testament to her boundless imagination.

Introducing Thea Skelsey, the visionary set to enchant you at our upcoming Mural & Market Day on Saturday 6 April ~ 12PM - 4PM!

Thea Skelsey is a Coolangatta, Gold Coast based artist whose practice looks at deconstructing concepts to arrive at their most simplistic form. Through a process of elimination she cleverly distils complex ideologies and translates them into bold and defining statements that tie into coastal landscapes and lifestyle.

Skelsey’s application of paint is slow and meticulous; her exacting brushstrokes rendering the curves, lines and waves that form her distinctive style. Her patience and steady hand a testament to the craftsmanship at the centre of her practice. Skelsey’s designs are eye-catching and effortless, a cohesive display of elements that speak for the time and care taken to achieve them.

Endlessly inspired by culture, language and travel, Skelsey worked on numerous commissions abroad where she developed her pared back style that speaks to the integrity of form and function.

Witness the magic of Skelsey’s artistry firsthand as she puts the finishing touches on her mural at the commencement of our market. Skelsey will also be showcasing her handcrafted pieces at the market, so be sure pop by!
