Primal Iron BBQ

Well, that was one hell of a day. We made the trip out to Oakey to compete against 17 incredible teams at Smokin The Downs. With a team member down and a few challenges, we lit the fires and kicked the tyres and started our cook. Things went very smoothly, and we are beyond happy with our results.

3rd place brisket (on countback)

With all of this effort landing us as Grand Champion!

What a whirlwind weekend that was! Meatstock Toowoomba is every bit the spectacle you could ever ask for and we soaked it up. We rolled in bright and early Saturday morning full of energy ready to rumble with 25 of the best teams going around. The cook was challenging with things not quite going our way on the day against some very tough competition.
Chicken: 11th
Pork ribs : 11th
Pork: 20th
Lamb: 8th
Brisket: 6th
This landed us at 11th overall. Not our best result but that’s the way it goes sometimes.
