Before the pandemic, sadly our mocktails had lost their popularity amongst the crowds after removing our plastic drinking tubes and, needed a environmentally friendly solution to replace. Unfortunately without the income, investing further was increasingly difficult however, was fortunate enough to find work during the week to assist...

Like most businesses the work was impacted by the corona virus and fortunately pass time building furniture to sell from old equipment stored at home.

With bills continuing, I decided to take on other markets serving coconut bowls with fresh purée, blueberries and a sprig of mint. Starting in June the mornings were cold 🥶 but the response was extremely warming 🤗 and have loved every moment I get to create one, because of the reactions passing by ⚠️🥥⚠️🪓⚠️🪒⚠️
😱🤔🤭😰😷🤨🥰😎🤩😯🤠

Not long after starting .nuttas, Bite markets reopened and, with plastic drinking tubes remaining we were back mixing mocktails! It was overwhelming to see so many regulars and community supporting the market!
Bite markets is not as big or developed as eat street but certainly great for a family get together and conveniently just off the highway in morayfield.

It has been a challenge balancing weekday work with weekend markets and wished I was able to share the challenges as they happened! I have started working on a tribute video which I hope to share soon. Our mocktail journey has not ended, and is only the start of a new adventure which I look forward to storytelling someday.

I understand the pandemic had different effects on everyone, and some are still doing it tough with continuing changes!!
I just hope you, and those you know were able to have a wonderful Christmas and incredible start to the new year!!

Finally a massive thanks for the support over the years, and your continued support following us this long too see what happens next.

Thanks again for sticking around as long as you have! And all the support over the years! It has certainly been memorable!

Stay posted as we share more in the days ahead!

Have a great week!!

Hey guys if you haven’t seen this video from Mark Rober it’s worth the time, regarding how quickly germs spread over the day, in a 3rd grade classroom.

Would be interesting to see how far glow germ makes it over Brisbane if, all petrol pumps at a fuel station were covered?

Hey beautiful people

This Saturday 21st we will be setting up the bar in the small park between eat street and the Northshore tennis courts 12pm-6pm.

This is not intended to be a large gathering, only the opportunity to catch up if you feel like getting out of the house for some free Mocktails.

All measures will be taken to ensure our pop up bar, marquee and equipment is clean and sanitised over the duration of service.

Shaker bottles/keep cups/tubes are to remain at home as our mocktails are served in compostable, single use cups.

Northshore toilets and car parking is available and close to our pop up bar location.

We will also have water bottles, napkins and hand sanitizer for everyone.

Finally, our bar table has wheels... and considering moving into the car park (next to the tennis courts) for a world first mocktail drive through!!! 🚙💨

Happy Friday everyone!

Sudden changes but always amazing drinks!

Over the past year eat street has been working towards a 99% plastic free site. This is trying to set the standard world wide for waste management and recycling.

From today will be serving drinks in biodegradable cups, lids and straws. No more plastic tubes.

Our mocktails will only get better as we bring back the cocktail shakers to mix drinks. This will slow down the speed mocktails can be made, but allows flavours to mix and chill thoroughly, compared to layering flavours in tubes.

Unfortunately refills will only be available for past tube’s or shaker bottles from us.

Shaker bottles green, blue and yellow will be available to purchase additionally, with one colour available/month.

Please keep your tube and or shaker bottle and remember to bring it back, to always receive cheap refills!

We apologise for not getting back sooner and don’t have new menus printed without mocktails in plastic tubes.

Have a great weekend

With big changes happening around the world, our mocktail bar is preparing for one of our biggest changes yet. When our plastic drinking tubes are gone, we will be switching to a compostable alternative.
-
-
Each week manufacturers and businesses worldwide are making the change and switching to compostable products. ***This will not solve the plastic issue!***
China has stopped receiving worldwide plastic waste used to melt down and remould plastic products. 171 thousand tons of Australian recycled plastic waste is building up each year in Australian waste facilities. Some of this waste is being sent to illegal dumps for burning.
-
Plastic is a problem however, what we do with it now, will effect the years ahead. Please do what you can to reuse plastic! -
We will always refill tubes!

Last Friday we collected new tubes, lids and straws ♻️🍴

Unfortunately this does not fit into the governments 10c refund scheme...

Please take tubes home to reuse or recycle!!!!! ♻️

In March 2017 Mobile Mocktails packed up the marquee for the last time. Our colourful shaker bottles were almost gone and needed something new, something different !
-
Looking back to old drinks created, (Strawberry jam & elderflower)
(Le fea absinthe, pineapple & mint)
we wanted our mocktails to highlight the colourful fruit used, and look like an enticing cocktail.
-
With minimal funds we ordered our first batch of drinking tubes, built our tiki bar and survived until opening Mocktail Madness in April 2017
-.. recently we were told drinking tubes are not being accepted under the governments 10c refund scheme...
-
Under the new waste management scheme at eat street we are unsure where our tubes fit in🤷‍♂️ -
Red bins - compostable & general waste
Yellow bins - recycling accepted under the 10c government refund scheme
-
***Please take drinking tubes home to reuse or recycle ♻️🍴***
-
♻️🍴♻️Tubes, lids and clear drinking straws are all made from recyclable plastics ♻️🍴♻️
-
We are doing our best to find a combustible alternative!!!
-
We will always refill shaker bottles and tubes 💦
