Great to be able to catch up once again last week with our lovely MyOErs - especially as we were joined by our founder Brenton Henderson who has finally been able to visit us from Brisbane, as the borders open.

We did it!!! We are so delighted that we were finally able to get together and host our traditional MyOE Christmas party with our amazing MyOE family. It was understandably a smaller event than usual, but we loved every minute. Thank you to all that came to eat, drink, dance and be merry with us.....it was so nice to catch up with you all, we have missed you!

What is an OE? An OE is an acronym for the term ‘An Overseas Experience’ which originates from New Zealand, and describes an extended working period or holiday abroad.

We're feeling very positive that the huge optimism surrounding the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines has led Qantas to bring forward its international ticket sales to the UK, to the 1st July!!

Expectations are high that global travel will resume much sooner than originally expected, and we cannot wait! COME ON 2021......let's do this!!

Qantas resumes bookings for international travel Qantas has reopened bookings for international flights from July, in one of the most promising signs yet for a return of overseas travel this year.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Don't forget that 31st October is the deadline to submit your 2020 tax return in Australia. Remember that anyone who is a resident for tax purposes in Australia or has an outstanding HECS/HELP debt (regardless of residency) is required to complete a return

2020 has been such a challenging year for everyone and it is more important than ever to stay connected, listen and support one other.

MyOE and Oncore are supporting this amazing cause with our global team by:

- Asking all staff to wear something yellow in support.
- Setting up a Slack channel to share photo's, stories, messages, support & information.
- Holding a virtual tea party to check in with our teams.
- Asking for a "Stage four Lockdown" on emails and messaging to encourage everyone to pick up the phone or have a face to face virtual meeting for the day for that extra bit of personal contact.
