This NAIDOC, our ‘Drawing Us Together’ initiative takes a fresh turn!

Instead of a single story, we've partnered with five incredible Australian authors to bring you a vibrant tapestry of short stories and poems exploring the year's theme. Now you can experience our storybook through multiple perspectives!

Now our talented young artists need your help with selecting the final illustrations to be published in the book.

We pay our respect to the traditional owners, their elders past & present, and value their care and custodianship of these lands.

The Drawing Us Together initiative returns this year, as a celebration of indigenous culture through the creation of a children’s storybook written by First Nation authors from across the country and illustrated by local school students.

This year we’ve teamed up with Indigenous authors Jayden Boundry, Coral Reeves, Bernadette Hardy, Ellen van Neerven, and Alton Walley. Prepare to be taken on a journey rich with the cultural knowledge and experiences of the authors themselves, keeping to this years’ NAIDOC theme, Keep The Fire Burning.

To help bring our storybook to life, over 72 young finalists from local schools have contributed their artistic flair, illustrating the stories.

We need your help to select the top 12 illustrations to feature in the storybook.
