The new Milton Tennis Centre is set to be named after tennis great, Wendy Turnbull.

Back in the 1980s Wendy won nine Grand Slam doubles, mixed doubles and was a three-time Grand Slam singles finalist.

The $12 million redevelopment is set to be completed in less than 5 months.

Time for another piece of history. Frew Park hosted some of the Davis Cup matches in 1956 (in which the Australian team ended up defeating USA during the final challenging round in Adelaide, yay).

These stands were a temporary set up as Frew Park did not have room for all the spectators wanting to attend the event.
