Over the weekend 1st to 2nd of June of 17 Earnshaw Student represented Earnshaw Eagles at the 2024 QLD State Championships. There were 230 competitors, the QLD athletes were joined by athletes from NSW, ACT, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Canada.
The days were long – athletes were arriving at 7am and were leaving at 7pm on both days – and they competed 10+ times across the 2 days. Every Earnshaw athlete gave it their all – we don’t talk about injuries, tears or naps as everyone came away with medals!
One of the highlights was the way Earnshaw Students supported all athletes – they were able to catch up with friends they had made at previous State, National and World competitions.
The below is the list of Earnshaw Eagles athletes who placed for individual overall – this is a combined score of speed sprint, speed endurance and individual freestyle.
Individual Overall
9yrs Male 3rd – Iroh
10yrs Female 1st – Eleanor – QLD Champion
11yrs Female 3rd – Zoe
12yrs Female 2nd - Audrey-Jean
