Have you got your race plan?
After a season of planning and training, you must ensure you have the right race plan for your race fitness.
Too often, we see people struggle at the end of their races because they made the biggest mistake of going out too fast. While this is by far the most important control you need on race day, other factors can help you have a great race, and possibly your best race ever.

Race season is here and what a cracker of a weekend Runaway Noosa Marathon.
There was great racing from our crew with many show casing their running skill as master pacers.
Congratulations to everyone who tested themselves in the race.

Huge shout out to Warren Marsh and Simon McCormack who finally cracked the major milestones of 3hr and 4 hours for the marathon.
To Pam Pinel for her first marathon, and Heydon Manuel, Sal Stamplfli, and Julia McKinney (age group winner) for massive PB’s over the 42.2k.
One of the best ways to achieve a PB is with race plans so it was fabulous to see PB’s in the half from Nigel Dunk, Louise Zimmerman, and Seb Pinel.
Finally, racing is not only about the times and places but about the enjoyment of being out amongst other runners. The proof of this is from the smiles, thumbs up and chatter after.
Immerse yourself into the race season …. And run happy!

Oh what a team!!
For the last 10 years intraining runners have been entertaining the crowd while at the Hamilton Island Hilly half .
Yes, they do run, but on the evening beforehand, there is a costume competition and photo shoot at the top of the peak.
Our runners love the run, the costumes are incredible, but most importantly, the event brings the community together.
A huge thank you and congratulations must go to two of our coaches Tracy and Bob Baker for establishing the intraining adventure to this event and making it a highlight for many each year.
We love our community.

Have you noticed the change?
While we all like to say “it’s the weather”, for many of you, you've also become fitter.
The reason is training. 🏃🏻♂️
Yes, that’s the obvious bit - consistent training. However, your ‘fitter’ running has a bit more science behind it called PROGRESSION. This is the gradual increase in load and speed that enables your body to handle more training and faster running.
🗓️ Our intraining runners have been following a program that purposefully creates sessions that have increased load and speed over the last few months. The best part is that they are now feeling stronger and faster as they get closer to their goal events.
You can do this too, but all our runners will tell you that it’s much more fun if you do it in a group. 👨👩👧👦
Come along, and develop purposeful progression in your running.

😉We are so spoilt for trail events in South East Queensland and how good is it when you can sleep in your own bed the night before a race, yes we don’t have far to travel to compete.
🙌Let’s give a big shout-out to our trail tribe who will be competing in various distances from 12km to 80 km at either Yandina Five 'O' or Noosa Ultra Trail.☘️
🏃♀️🏃On the weekend congratulate yourselves that you are standing at the start line. Take a deep breath, smile and let your feet carry you forward. Look around, look up and chat to the runner beside you. Cross the finish line and celebrate your achievement.

Congratulations to Rowan Cassidy and his crew who put on a fantastic inaugural event on Sunday at Rocks Riverside Park. The We've Gotcha Backyard Ultra saw many try out a different type of event where you need to run 6.7km every hour. This event was a sampler that only went for 10 hours however the full event keeps going until the last man is standing. This event raised thousands for Beyond Blue while inspiring many new runners to try another ultra in the future.
