THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be required to assist in dinner services, and independently manage the floor during quieter lunch shifts. You will memorise the specialist menu and wine list, and develop a thorough understanding of Italian food and wine culture. The selected candidate will:
• Prepare for services by polishing crockery, glasses, and utensils
• Set and clear tables
• Plan and manage bookings
• Advise customers on menu items and take orders
• Communicate effectively with other sections
• Process payments
• Ensure customer satisfaction and manage complaints
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have experience in both food and wine service. You will be reliable, dependable, and honest. The selected candidate will:
• Hold a QLD RSA
• Have 1+ year/s experience of restaurant service
• Be well-presented
• Have excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Italian food will be highly regarded
• Knowledge of wine will be highly regarded
