A few weeks ago, we celebrated the official engagement of Alexis and Connor and I couldn't be happier for them both.
Alexis looked stunning with the help of my sister Frida from and Corn was the second most handsome that night.
Of course, I looked outstanding with my tailored suit from no other than Tony Frangos.
Bless you, Alexis and Connor.
You make me so proud and I love you both. X

It is with both sadness and happiness that I announce that I've moved on from Metro Espresso Spring Hill 2.0.
It hasn't been an easy ride and I have devoted my blood sweat and tears...(not to mention a s**t tonne of money!!!) and although I'm happy with what I've achieved I feel it's time to close the book on this chapter of my life and take a break.
Hand on my heart I sincerely thank my awesome Spring Hill family who supported me. You listened to this grumpy barista ranting on like a lunatic trying to fix the world's problems but hopefully shared a laugh with me.
I'm truly going to miss you.

I was going to say I'm taking this time to work on my poker face but I think we both know that ain't gonna happen!!!!

I also want to thank you all for your warm wishes and thoughtful gifts. They were truly humbling and melted my heart!!!

Last but definitely not least...I want to wish Dee and Carl all the very best for taking over the reins of my little cafe. They're going to take it to the next level where it deserves to be so make sure to drop in for a coffee and say hi!!!

So...I decide to take a break and rest my weary feet when a customer walks in.
He was most kind to let me sit and offered to make his own coffee.

My heart broke when I heard that one of my favourite visitors wasn't well and could have possibly had something more sinister...
But after a course of antibiotics little Abbey is fitting fit and popped in to say hello.

Halfway through the coldest winter I can remember and auntie Renee came to the rescue with this stylish number for Hanky pank.
He took a while to get use to it but has taken to it nicely.

With every cafe I've owned I'm always grateful for meeting some amazing people that become more than just a customer.
Today I farewell one of these amazing people....the beautiful Serena.
Your eyes sparkle like diamonds and your forever smile always made me do the same. Your positivity and outlook on life is something we all should learn from you.
As you make your way back to Italy I take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting me. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you. It's people like you that make me love my job!!!
You'll be missed by all of those whose heart you've touch and as sad as I am to see you go... I wish you well and all the happiness you deserve.

23 years ago today two phenomenons happened...
Brisbane broke a record of being the coldest April day on record and my beautiful baby girl was born.
I instantly fell in love with you the moment we met.
Throughout these years you've made me laugh, you've made me cry and everything else in between but I've never been as proud to call you my daughter.

Week one done and dusted so I thought I better post something.
Housemade rice pudding with a twist.
Spiced apple with toasted almonds, candied pineapple with toasted coconut and yiayia approved traditional with cinnamon.
All gluten and lactose free.

I burnt the midnight oil and with the help of my beautiful daughter, her legend of a partner and....John... we got it sorted.
It took a little elbow grease, determination and a f@(k tonne of Domestos to get the shop looking way better.
Big day tomorrow so drop in for a coffee on me ( with the help of ).

Finally....settlement day has arrived!!! Bedsides that...my new POS got installed, I got a new drink fridge from the wonderful Renee at Kelly's Distributors, three massive deliveries, a new three group coffee machine and grinders from the wonderful David at Elixir and managed to sweet talk a council worker into giving me a food licence.
Now I have to put all this together before Monday...any takers????
