My school had an arts showcase this week and there was a teachers/staff section so I added in some cake art. As today is my birthday I thought I would make the cake I wanted. Only way I will be getting a Michael Kors bag!

Such a privilege to make this cake for my grade 12 PC class for this formal last night. It was a Hollywood theme and we needed a red carpet and a reel of photos going back 9 years!! Some of these kids have been in my class since grade 4. So proud of them all and will miss them like crazy next year.

Demo cakes I made for my grade 8/9 Food Technology class. We are studying The Art and Science of Baking and Introduction to Cake Decorating. They have to make a buttercream celebration drip cake for their final assessment. I decorated 4 cakes over two 80min lessons. Long day!

I was given a true challenge for this weeks wedding cake! I have made toppers before but never one that needs to stand on top of the cake on two wheels. Hi to all my loyal customers. I have had a few requestts for bookings but I am going to have to close my diary until mid July. I had an aneurysm that burst in my brain last week and have had some lovely brain surgery. Don't be too worried the Dr's tell me I am doing really well and I will be up and runnning in about 4-6 weeks. If you already have a booking DO Not stress all is good. Was asked make a Toyota Hilux cake! It had its challenges but I am happy with the results. Need to work on my scale but it is maybe the 3rd car cake I have made and it looks like a car so I am happy!! Happy 18th Jacob!

I don’t usually get to follow the whole journey of my cakes but I unexpectedly ended up attending the wedding of the lovely Connie and Ryan. I have know Connie’s family almost my whole life and it was so lovely to be there and catch up with them all as my Mum’s +1. Hope you enjoyed the cake as much as I did making it for you. Congratulations Connie and Ryan on finally making it to the wedding day!!

This one had its challenges but it is so bright and fun! Chocolate mud - the gold ball needed to be polystyrene along with the base of the house but the rest is cake.

Had a go at making one of Emma Jayne Cake Design’s cake tutorials! I still need some work on my perspective but it is pretty cute. Original cake in the comments. I wanted mine to look like the cat had damaged the cake more than the original.

So much fun making this cakes for a little guy who has never had a real party due to COVID. The squeal he let out when he saw me with his cake made all the effort truly worth it!! Happy Birthday Marc.
