EFFICIENCY OF MOVEMENT
The act of living day to day brings about its own set of challenges. Even if you are not so committed to sporting or regular physical interests ~ You are still functioning, breathing and moving. Our culture and lifestyles tend to include a lot of activities that are not particularly beneficial to our posture, the elasticity of our Fascia or the efficiency of our movement ~ Sitting for long periods, computer work and micro-movements of our hands and fingers on media devices. So many activities involve forward actions of our limbs and ignore the backward actions required to strengthen the opposing muscles and build nerve pathways in a balanced body. STYLE OF TREATMENT
The treatment I will provide to you is guided by your physical, emotional and individual circumstances... Your posture, the areas you feel pain, what you have been doing recently and long term ~ Will all provide information that we can use, working together, to bring
you back to a more comfortable you. My approach to healing is a fusion of ‘hands on’ therapy types, combined with a developed intuitiveness, that does not disregard other aspects of life that greatly affect our being ~ Such as energy level, confidence and emotion. I have been involved with body work professionally for twenty-seven years. I have been a Remedial Therapist for twenty-four years. I had worked for three years prior, as a Massage Therapist. My own involvement in physical movement and mind-body awareness includes a variety of Martial Arts over the last forty-three years, Yoga for thirty years and South American dance for twelve years. I have worked with sporting professionals from The Australian Wallabies, Queensland Reds, Broncos, professional acrobats, dancers, runners, rowers, athletes, musicians, librarians and persons from many varied walks of life.
