Attention CESSians!! 🚨

Due to the interest of our Shadforth site visit, we have partnered with Renovo to visit their Bundamba project! Join us in attending their final concrete pour, and with a complimentary networking BBQ afterwards!

Renovo is delivering a 35,000m2 industrial warehouse site as the principal contractor, having been brought onto the project to resolve a number of engineering issues including non-compliant geotechnical works; uncertified piling works; offshore steel procured without certifications or mill certificates and noncompliant to the engineering requirements; and a number of other issues that required a performance based approach to engineering certification/ validation.

🚧 Since being engaged in December, they have taken site possession and commissioned an on-site concrete batching facility in order to maximise their ability to take advantage of innovative concrete mix designs developed in-house, whilst minimising their exposure to 3rd party concrete suppliers for the delivery of 6,000m3 of concrete slabs in 400m3 increments, with a view to finishing the project in its entirety within five months. 🚧

We will be departing from the QUT Gardens Point campus as there is limited parking available on the street near the site. Please note that there are LIMITED SPOTS available for this event, so keep an eye out for tickets to secure your spot!

📅 When: Tuesday, 7th of May, depart at 2:45pm, return by 7:00pm.

📍 Where: We will depart from George St at the front of QUT Gardens Point to the site, then return to QUT after the site visit.

Shadforth is currently delivering 2 major projects in the Logan region, that will serve as residential communities for future generations of families.This will deliver essential housing to this region of high population growth.

🚧 The first of these is Flagstone, which is currently in the earthworks stage. The second site is Everleigh, which is in the civil stage. 🚧

Everleigh is a 3,300-lot masterplanned community that covers more than 470 hectares of land at Greenbank in Brisbane’s fast-growing southwest corridor, in the City of Logan and neighbouring Springfield. Once completed, Everleigh will feature its own collection of community shops, recreational spaces and a new state primary school.

⚠️ This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical knowledge and insight into the world of community planning and construction! ⚠️
