Brisbane Basket Brigade
The Basket Brigade works to deliver food, toys, and hope to those who need it most at Christmas.
Since 1995, throughout the Christmas season, the Basket Brigades of the Magic Moments Foundation have worked with grassroots organisations to deliver food, toys and hope to those who need it most. The Basket Brigade is the annual campaign to provide food and gifts for people that need a hand - children, the elderly, hungry & homeless - during the holiday season each year. "It's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving".
A recognition post to our tireless committee who step up every year as passionate volunteers keeping the giving alive! And our amazing volunteers who participate in our large scale events with a bucket-load of elbow grease! We are in continuous awe of the power of giving and the lengths our volunteers go to.
OUR VOLUNTEERS ROCK!!!
To all our amazing Volunteers across all the Magic Moments Foundation Programs - the Basket Brigades, the Grandies Gifting Program and the Youth Programs, Happy International Women's Day!
Your dedication and commitment to our programs outcomes helps to create Magic Moments all through the year. We thank you and are grateful for you on this day, and the other 365 days in this year!
Some of our community volunteers from Saturday 9/12, can you spot yourself in these pics? π
What an amazing day wrapping gifts, sorting food and packing hampers! Eight committee members volunteering for 6 months around paid work and family commitments were able to rally our amazing Basket Buddy community, Corporate and Community Day volunteers and Delivery Drivers to donate and volunteer to provide almost 1,000 families with childrens gifts and food hampers. You even provided several hundred bags of food for individuals and families forced to live in tents.
MERRY CHRISTMAS BRISBANE and thank you so much for your support!!β€οΈ
