Alhamdulillah the Soul Seed Group and Brisbane Muslim Fellowship held a joint BBQ to celebrate Eid ul Adha at Brisbane Islamic Centre for about 80 young Muslims including a number of new Muslims this evening. Thanks to all who made it possible.

Brisbane Islamic Centre has partnered with Launchgood who have kindly offered to support this fund raising plan by offering us a bonus of $5000 if we can raise $10,000 in the next 24 hours. From 2pm Saturday in Brisbane until 2pm Sunday.

This message is for the benefit of some people that may have not received the latest construction updates at the Brisbane Islamic Centre.

Slow down in construction is due to changes that need to be made to the architectural plans that have to be endorsed by the Planning and Environment Court. Briefly these changes relate to increasing the areas of certain spaces, roof heights to be raised, creating a dedicated Itikaaf area, etc,. It’s expected to take approximately 9-12 months to obtain this “ Minor Change” Approval.
