The Junior Skills Clinic was a huge success today! Over 50 junior players worked on their skills with HNSW Regional Lead Nikki Simpson and Ros Cheetham along with our next generation of coaches.

A very special thanks to Newcastle International Hockey Centre for supporting the clinic too. Stay tuned for details of more clinics in the future!

Junior Hockey Skills Clinic

Register now to attend the Junior Hockey Skills Clinic in the school holidays. The clinic is designed for all club-level junior hockey players from ages 10 to 18 years. Come along and receive some new tips to improve your skills and score more goals!

Congratulations to our U16 Newcastle 1 and 2 teams who travelled to NSW State Championships in Bathurst over the weekend.

Newcastle 1 battled through injuries and a very tough pool in Division 1 to finish with a draw and equal 9th place.

Newcastle 2 were the winners of Division 3, after draws in both the quarterfinal and semifinal, the final also ended as a draw, with a penalty shootout deciding the game!

Newcastle District Womens Hockey Association is pleased to be hosting international umpire Zeke Newman for a meet and greet and umpire information night ahead of his upcoming umpiring appointment at the Olympics in Paris.
All junior and senior umpires from Newcastle and surrounding associations are invited to attend.

As we start to get into the rhythm of the season (despite the washed out games) we would like to take this opportunity to remind players of the Respect4Hockey campaign for Newcastle Hockey.

Hockey Newcastle has created the Respect 4 Hockey campaign to bring awareness of the issues we all need to work on to keep our game strong, providing a safe, enjoyable environment that protects participants, match officials, club administrators, volunteers and spectators.
