Today's feature is our incredible Slava!
She joined us as a freelance knitter a couple of years ago and quickly became an integral part of our team.
Slava knits, crohet and know all things tayloring. She is now the right hand of our new endeavor. Talented seamstress and pattern maker, Slava helps us get the most complicated ideas and transform them to beautiful garments.
Slava is also a core part of our sample making team creating beautiful knitwear for our clients.

Elite Knitting Studio is looking for experienced hand-knitters and crocheters to join our team! We work with different fashion houses and designers to develop their collections as well as production orders. It is a great opportunity for someone who needs remote work and flexible work hours!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knitting and/or Crocheting full garments or parts of the garments as specified
Properly match tension and measure garments to ensure desired fit.
Learn and advance in techniques
Assist with finishing garments in production run
Be able to strictly follow deadlines and accurately estimate time for project completion
Adhere to company policies
Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of basic knitting/crocheting techniques
Excellent attention to detail, time management skills and meeting deadlines
Ability to work as part of the team
Ability to work independently
High energy level
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience in being a self-starter
Ability to work in a high-paced environment and switch between projects as needed.
Must possess confidence, good judgment, energy and the right personality to work through challenges and tight deadlines
PAY
Pay per project or at hourly rate depending on skills level.

Our Story
Knitting is our passion. My mother learned how to knit from her grandmother when she was just 5 years old and she taught me we I was 7. Over the years we worked with different designers such as Derek Lam, Alejandra Alondo Rojas, Maiyet, Zac Posen, Narciso Rodriguez Oscar de La Renta, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and many others. Every project taught us something new and helped us perfect our technique.
We started Elite Knitting in 2012 to help a few local knitters who recently lost their jobs. Since then our team grew to 2 teams of incredibly skilled sample makers in NYC and Austin and Ukraine. We believe in helping others more than in anything else, we try to help stay-home parents and retirees giving them projects to work and sense of purpose. Our sample makers are our most valuable asset and we won’t exist without them.
