I'm reaching out to see if anyone has extensive knowledge or experience dealing with management and legal issues related to privately owned homes in retirement villages, especially concerning renovations and sales. I’m particularly interested in insights or advice from those in the real estate field who have dealt with retirement village properties, especially in the Dandenong area.

From my own experience, I’ve found that many elderly residents are being pressured into difficult situations, misled, and taken advantage of. I've encountered situations where, after trying to help and question some unfair practices, I’ve faced challenges such as being banned from the village and needing intervention from aged care advocacy services to mediate with village owners.

If you have family or relatives in retirement homes or aged care facilities, please take note. It’s important to be aware that some of these establishments may prioritise maximising their profits over the well-being of their residents, often leaving them with nothing after they pass away.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
