Luke, who owns Luke Waters Performance Coaching is a qualified Yoga teacher, Surfing Coach and has had extensive experience both with injury and illness rehabilitation and the strength and conditioning of elite athletes.

Was awesome πto see my little buddy today. Eric came to me as a 6 year old and told me that I needed to help him learn to walk. He was told that he never would and was in a powered wheel chair.
We worked 2 X a day 5-6 days a week for 8-10 yrs to achieve his ultimate goal of walking and doing the Sydney Harbor Bridge climb as well as a few other fun things along the way. (Surfing & Skateboarding)
Today he came in to see me with a few new goals in mind after a couple of years away.
Looking forward to our next fun adventure mate ππ

Where I'm at now is where I've searched my entire life to be. I looked to low-grade spiritual experiences through drugs and alcohol...but there was always something I looked for outside of me to make me feel better and the day I met some people who told me to surrender, the peaceful warrior way - that's the way, look inside yourself. Stop thinking so much and look to your heart.
The gratitude that comes with service...It is a blessing to be able to feel comfortable with who I am and not have to be more to fill the void because the void is filled with love.

Not breathing properly is commonly overlooked in the reasoning behind sickness & suffering. Stress in our daily lives results in a response from our bodies often termed "fight or flight". It's how we cope with perceived danger. However, when we live for prolonged periods in this stress response which overstimulates the sympathetic nervous system & we don't breath properly, it can cause health problems such as high blood pressure, suppressed immune function, anxiety, & depression.
The daily practice of deep, full belly breathing through the nose is a central practice to relax the body - encouraging full oxygen exchange, slowing the heartbeat & lowering blood pressure. It also calms & focuses the mind which moves you out of the highly stimulated stress response into a more rested state.

Every year Australians throw out an estimated 1 billion takeaway coffee cups! These single use cups may appear environmentally friendly but have a plastic lining & lid that won't biodegrade, they are the second largest contributor to litter after plastic bottles and most cups end up in landfill. The way we are heading, we will choke our environment with plastic...So get yourself a reusable takeaway cup & use it!

Surfing is a passion of mine. So
working with some of the world's best surfers such to help them compete at their highest potential is an extension of my love for surfing. From my experience with coaching and training, fitball mobility, balance, stability & strength exercises are only one small element of what it takes to perform at the top of the championship tour and remain injury free or for anyone who just loves to surf! Be kind to yourself. Life is a long and challenging journey - aim big! But accept there will be set backs as this is the time we learn and grow. Your expectations shouldn't affect your health & wellbeing or cause imbalances and create unnecessary frustration and disappointments. Similarly, being realistic with the process also allows us to build perseverance. Progress is only made with consistent dedication & discipline to your goals, never give up but keep letting go...enjoy the process βοΈπ

When we endure - stressful work, toxic relationships, competitive sports, overloaded studies - it takes us out of balance & we lose our true nature. Instead, our perceived identity becomes what we endure and we numb ourselves by suppressing our freedom of expression & emotions. Prolonged repression of your true nature causes physical & psychological imbalances, illness & injury.
Everyday I notice myself, my friends and my clients getting stuck in the web of enduring their chosen identity. But moving out of this space is challenging...there is fear & anxiety to let go of in order to move forward & remove the mask, especially when your community identifies you in that way.
Choosing to be happy means being true to you & not attached to your identities. To do this: find what you love, align with your heart, look inwards, not out and use the practices that support this & bring you back to your true nature.
I have never felt more true to me....
