What is your Business?
Fuel Bakehouse Burleigh - Bakery in the heart of Burleigh, serving up delicious food and coffee. We have a range of gluten friendly items, burgers, salad rolls, wraps, baguettes, toasties, salads, sweet & savoury treats, pies & sausage rolls. Originating in Currumbin, expanding to Cabarita and then Wholesaling to cafes along the coast, Fuel Bakehouse is finally here right in the middle of James street!

How did your business start?
Fuel Bakehouse staff are some of the loveliest people you will ever meet. We support and encourage personal development and career progression. Emma was an exceptional manager at our OG Currumbin store for 3+ years. She was ready to take her career to the next level, so we made it happen! Em is now the proud owner operator of Fuel Bakehouse Burleigh.

What are you most proud of?
Our friendly team and serving up the freshest food in town. At Fuel Bakehouse Burleigh you are always greeted with a smile and feel welcomed. You might catch us grooving away whilst we are making your orders because we always have fun and get the job done. We also pride ourselves in providing fresh, fast, and great value food to our Burleigh community.

What is your favourite part about running a business in Burleigh and Palm Beach? Everyone in the Burleigh and Palm Beach community are so supportive. From the moment we opened our doors on Boxing Day we have had a tremendous amount of support from the locals, who have now become regulars and great friends. We love opening up every day just to see their faces and have a chat!

What’s one piece of advice you’d give another small business? It’s a marathon not a sprint. Find your groove, back yourself 100% and always be willing to adapt. Be kind to yourself, and surround yourself with a supportive team. It won’t be easy but it will be worth it.

What do you love about the team at BOQ Palm Beach? The BOQ Palm Beach staff are always so approachable and friendly. We are so thankful for their continuous support and their coffee shouts to all our Burleigh locals. Special mention to Melissa and Ben, you guys rock!!
